If you've never used an ultrawide monitor, you don't know what you're missing, I know I didn't. For gaming or working with multiple windows open (like for spreadsheets/data entry) it's a game changer. This monitor has a very good image, hdr support, and is very reasonably priced.

I wanted a ultra-widescreen, HDmonitor and got one

I don't generally give 5-star reviews because I'm never 5-star "wow-ed," but I truly don't have any complaints about this monitor. I wanted an ultra-wide, HD monitor and that's just what I got. It has two HDMI inputs, which helps because I have two laptops hooked in to it - a personal MacBook Pro and a work PC, and there are zero Mac vs. Windows headaches with it. When I want to switch between the two formats, I just toggle the HDMI input. The monitor doesn't care about Mac/Windows wars. It just displays whatever image you want. The picture is great, although I do wish came with speakers. Luckily, I had a pair that plugs in to a headphone jack in the rear of the monitor and it works just fine. The display essentially is about the width of two standard square monitors side-by-side, only without any gap in the middle. It's a winner!

this is great monitor for lot of users, it easy to use never gave me any trouble, it nice and huge [wide] works wonderfully, the only problem i have is every seance i got my new computer and i went and purchased this monitor because i had the last version of it, well my new computer is 260 HZ and 1 Ms and i love it, but i recently found out that because my computer holds that speed and this monitor only holds 75 Hz and 5 ms it way to slow for my computer so its taring up my Graphics card by making it run slower than its capacity wants to hold, for any normal computer this would be the perfect monitor it does everything, but sadly i have to see if best buy will return this and i order stronger faster monitor, who would ever think a monitor has to do with speed because i never thought of that till now. so yes i recommend this to lot of people best buy you can get. worth every penny.

The LG Ultrawide is a great addition to your work setup. For $349.99, the screen is gorgeous and easily runs 60hz for fast and smooth refresh rates. This monitor is good for most games and is incredible for video/photo editing and multi tasking.

This monitor is amazing. You can use it as 2 different monitors and the set up/use was very easy. It does have it's own speakers which you need to turn off if you have external speakers, but everything is great. It's bigger than you think...

    No Need for Dual Monitors

This monitor is a replacement for a dual monitor setup that I have been using for a while, and although that setup did work, this is a much better solution. It is, as I found during unboxing, a very large widescreen monitor, the size actually surprising me somewhat. It takes up much less desk space as the dual monitors but is still very large. I love the fact that it has two HDMI inputs that allow work screens and DEX from my phone on separate inputs. I was a little dismayed that it did not have DisplayPort inputs or others as that is the output of my computer, but a quick cable order fixed that. The software included allows for all the multi-screen displays and works really well. The resolution is a little low at 2560 by 1080 but the HDR mode helps with that. I didn't really push the FreeSync capabilities as it is on a work computer, so I assume they work well. This is a true WIDECREEN monitor and will more than fill any dual creen monitor mode that you might have. With a little better resolution and a few different inputs it would be close to perfect. It is still a great monitor just with a few limitations I wasn't expecting. Good Shopping.

Beautiful display!!! I really struggled with curved versus flat but since I’m using this for work and I work with data, dashboard/report creation, using a lot of spreadsheets and coding having a flat screen makes more sense. But 1080p max isn’t doing it for me. I asked if this was really a big deal in store and the store associate and I agreed it was not since I’m not doing photo/video editing or graphic design... but as soon as I took it home I didn’t like how magnified the resolution was. Don’t get me wrong it’s fine- looks a lot like my dual monitor setup, but that fact that I switched from dual to ultra wide was to take advantage of more real estate and I’d like to upgrade to 1440p or at least have the option to when I have more things to view at once (like plugging in a second computer to the screen and split screen). Plan on returning it for that reason but for this price point it’s a GREAT monitor just depends on your needs.

Purchased this monitor for use in our office. New employee was hired and requested two monitors, but the desk was going to be really too cramped with two monitors, the accompanying cords, etc. I purchased the LG UltraWide really as an experiment - if the employee ended up hating it, I had plenty of time to return it (thanks Elite Plus status!). Turns out, she loves the monitor. With her desk setup, having one extra wide monitor with only one cord was perfect. The monitor is crisp edge to edge, was easy to setup, and does all that two monitors would have done, just with one footprint.

If you like having a nice, wide monitor, this is a fantastic option. Got it for a good price during cyber Monday. It took a little finagling to make the resolution work correctly - (was trying to adjust it via the display settings on the PC with little luck, but it worked perfectly once I used the AMD Redeon Settings to update it). Wish the cables were longer - it makes it difficult to center the monitor on a desk when the cables barely reach the PC, so by default I don't end up using the far right side of the monitor much because it's a bit out of my view (hence the 4 star vs 5). But I'll probably buy longer cables can fix that, since overall it's worked well for me.

The LG 34WL500 is a great entry level widescreen 34” monitor. I would recommend it to anyone looking for ultrawide monitor at an affordable price. The colors are great and vibrant and the viewing angles allows you to see from any perspective. It is worth mentioning that this is a 1080p monitor but if you want a step up (and can afford it) then I would try out something like the LG 34WN750 (also available on Best Buy) which gives you 2k (1440p) resolution. Overall, you would be satisfied with the 34WL500 and its capabilities.

Bought this after squinting with laptop monitor while being stuck working from home during covid pandemic. It’s better than two monitors and no docking station required. Just using the plug and play features of windows 10 as corporation won’t install the lg software, but that’s been fine. Takes a little to get used to but just drag window to side or corner and it sticks. Wish I bought two months or two years sooner. Also you need to use extended or primary monitor as duplicate doesn’t work with the special resolution.

Great packaging, delivery and notification from beginning until the end. Best Buy is doing an amazing job staying up to date with tech advancements that correlate with customer satisfaction. The screen itself is amazing as well. The one thing to keep in mind is that it doesn't have built in speakers which means you will need headphones or another laptop in case you use this as a second screen. So far it is working great, and the installation was super easy. Thank you Best Buy!

While this monitor is Freesync compatible, it lacks the required Displayport on the back to allow it to work with G-Sync (most FreeSync monitors, will work with G-Sync if you have DisplayPort). That aside, the picture quality, the price, and everything else are great. The main reason I do not give this thing 5 out of 5 is because of the strange decision not to include displayport. Otherwise this monitor has been great. I oversee purchasing hardware for my team, and I've bought 4 of these things now, and everyone who has been assigned one has been pleased with it.

This is a great monitor. I'm a little disappointed the monitor doesn't swivel a bit left to right on the included stand, but this was a better answer (for me) than a 2 monitor set up. I can have to full windows side by side with the monitor. This is very much enhances productivity! Also, kudos to Best Buy for bringing back real computer equipment, and kudos for having helpful sales people. This was an "open" box, so I got a discount, yet when I (re)opened the box, all the original packing was still intact.

Excellent price point for a lot of monitor real estate. 2 monitors-schmonitors, this bad boy has you covered. Use an AMD graphics card, boom Free-Sync. Image is excellent. Overall very pleased. Very few things are perfect (my wife and mom off the top of my head), 2 issues. Software and hook-up placement. Software is not on their webpage to download (don’t lose that disk) and if you wall mount this bad boy, the HDMI hooks up are directly behind the mount making it a non-bo for the most part.

I love this monitor! The wide screen is great for having more than one thing open at a time. The clarity is great, and I think it was a good value. The only complaint I have is that the person who helped me said I need to purchase an HDMI cable. However, there is one included with the monitor and the instructions clearly state it is best to use the one included. I purchased this monitor to use with my MacBook Pro. You do need a USB adapter if you have a newer Mac with no USB ports. So far, so good!

This ultrawide monitor is great for working at home. With windows 10, this one monitor can be virtually split into 2 screens and with my laptop would essentially give me 3 screens to work with. Comparing emails on one side, excel on the otherm and zoom on the laptop screen with the built-in camera works great. It would be great if there were speakers built-in because HDMI can carry audio. HDMI does carry audio and you can audio out to speakers via 3.5mm plug, but it's another device I didn't want to purchase.
