Works Great, Fits even better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The switch was perfect for my home network. Note, the 16 ports includes the input. 15 Output with 1 input, all together on one side of the switch. This worked out great for my network. Super fast and it even fit inside my wall panel box. Metal construction is sturdy and it is plug and play, just plug it in and go.

Good home network switch
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a fan of Netgear for decades, and I'm an IT professional. anyone that wants a wired home network (wired is always more secure and reliable that wireless!) should get this switch. It's plug-n-play (just plug everything in and it works), so you don't need to be an IT genius to install it, and it gives you plenty of ports for the wired network devices in your home. It's also great for small business offices that just need to share an Internet router, a file and/or database server, and a printer or 2!

Solid network hub.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So many ports! ;-) Just like the 5 port. No setup required. Solid dummy switch. I wall mounted it. Was super easy. First one I bought did have some throughput issues. Only transmitting at 10base. Exchanged it and couldn't be happier. One should always check all the ports when working with new network gear. ;-)

Reliable switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a failing switch with this one. It has been vary reliable and simple to setup. With the 16 ports I have more room to expand. The only change I would like is to have the power cable on the same side as the network connections.

The 16 port ProSafe is perfect for my needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ProSafe 16 port Netgear switch is easy to use, fast, and works as it is supposed to. If you have several directly connected devices and need more ports, I highly recommend this unit. It can mount on a wall or sit on a shelf.

Great Switch!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over the past few years, I have been putting together a DIY smart home, so I have accumulated several Ethernet plugs (security cameras, smart lights, several different hub/bridges, xbox, etc.). Previously, I was using 3 cheaper Netgear 5 port hubs linked together. So, I’ve been looking for the right switch to bring it all together. After, a lot of research I decided to pull the trigger on this one and I could not be happier!!! It does everything I want it to do plus its very fast. If you’re looking for a switch for whatever reason, I highly recommend this one!!!

very good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works very well for what I need. Just using it in my office to provide man ports for different devices. It does appear to be able to get 1 Gbs or much more then 100MBs for downloading games. It also has printer TV (used for monitor) Playstation 5 and 4 and other devices in room. It also has a few open ports for temp connections as needed.

Solid Switcher
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this switch for client on short notice, although I am no stranger to NETGEAR devices, they buil solid switches and routers, and this switch is not different. this unmanaged switch just works without issues, and I have had no complaint from the client.

Its good
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to purchase this to replace a old switch. Does everything it says it does no issues so far. I did not think id need 16 ports but once they were available I came up with all sorts of things to plug into them. I would buy again hard to go wrong with Netgear products.

Great Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this switch to replace a 5 port switch I was using in my home network because I needed more ports and was worried that an 8 port unit wouldn't be enough in the long run. It works great. I removed the 5 port unit I was using, plugged all the cables into the 16 port unit, plugged it in and everything just worked.

Plug in 15 items at once!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the problem of having to unhook one device while I plug the other one in put with this I just plug it in and plug the rest of my stuff into this. I would use wireless but I am a technician and have to download a lot. This keeps me from slowing down and it is great because I only have to plug in something once and it is done.

Like the Extra ports
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really like the extra ports, wired house to central closet and needed more ports. Works well and no performance issues with multiple XBoxes, Gaming PCs and work computers all running of same switch. Been running for over a year with no issues.

Flashes vigorously
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this 16 Port ethernet switch so I could better manage the multitude of hubs necessary to manage the Smart Home cacophony of an early adapter. Not only does it have sufficient ports to manage my Wink, Philips Hue, Insteon, Caseta Lutron, SmartThings, Luma, and Wigwag hubs, there is room for the extra hub that suddenly died and is now a 'brick' and (my original gateway drug into this abyss) the TCP hub which is now both a brick and an 'orphan' (discontinued and/or company totally out of business). It dutifully flashes day and night in an exuberant blue and has a worker bee like click to it as well so that's something you and your impressionable guests may find comfort and security within the warm embrace of a data collection goldmine cocoon in the sanctity of your home 24/7/365.

Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an 8 port netgear router that works great but I needed 9 ports due to a recent computer additon. This router works great no problems. Only negative I can think of was the instructions page was so huge. It seriously opened up to a 5x5 foot piece of paper. However only a tiny square of that was in English.

good way to organize your ethernet cables
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent solution for organizing and keeping up the speed of all the ethernet cables I have coming from all over my house. I am using 11 of the 16 ports and may need it for a couple more. Takes over for the 3 four port switches I was using.

great switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was considering getting a plastic one with less ports, but this one is so great, it is metal and it has so many ports. I was worried it would be too big, but it was actually quite small, which is a good thing. The support is lifetime, which can't be beaten.
