    As an IT professional, I work on several projects.I needed to upgrade the network at my home. My basic requirements were to be able to Utilize the 250Mps Download speeds per line and the ability for support of VLAN traffic separation. This little switch does it all.

    I bought this because my new modem and router didn't have enough ethernet ports for all my equipment. I like having my computers and game consoles connected to the internet by ethernet to ensure I have a more stable connection as opposed to connecting them over wifi.

    I always thought switches were all the same. I have since leaned there are dumb switches and there are Managed/Smart switches. This switches solved the problems I was have with my local area network in my home.

    Works Great, but the instructions are very poor. The good news is that you don't have to do anything to use it as a simple port connector.

    Product is grest, but it sure is hsrd to find staff that doesn't run away when you are looking for something. After i foundwhat i wanted, as test, i wandered around the store, wuthin feet of staff, not one offered help or spoke, other than the " greeter" at the door.

    Very simplistic switch, it will work as a plug and play hardware when connected onto a router or another switch. But you do have the option to configure the ports for the more tech savvy.

    This switch was purchased for managing multiple services hosted from a single server. Many services and VMs are hosted, so VLAN capability was required. So far, management is simple via web browser, and has met my needs.

    Bought for my condo as I needed a managed switch. I had a little issue with discovering it on the network to begin with, but after fixing my laptop Nic, works perfect.

    I've always found Netgear Switches to be the best bang for your buck. Sometimes a hard to reach Switch needs to be rebooted and Netgear Managed Switches can have that done remotely. I have no issues with the Warranty either.
