I just bought a new house so the wiring in it is brand new. However i bought these in order to have a hard line to my PC because of course the room where i have it doesn't have an Ethernet port. I saw the reviews and they seemed great! I plugged them in and its basically plug and play, however depending on your outlet, it'll give you either red for ok, yellow for good, or green for the best. Every plug i tried was either red or yellow and finally, I don't know what happened, I got a green light. it advertises up to 1gbps through your house and i currently have speeds up to 900mbps which is great but through this i have a max of 60mbps, which is ok for my pc and gaming. I only took away a star for that reason but other than that it seems to work great!

Fast speeds, easy to setup, never failed me. My router was across the house from my pc which I wanted hardwired for gaming and this worked wonders. Felt like I was plugged straight into the router and I didn’t have to run an Ethernet cable through the entire house.

I live on the opposite side of the wifi router in my house and I play video games as well as watch multiple streaming services. I realized that the reason my games would lag and my Netflix would never work was because the wifi wasn’t reaching my room. I looked a couple things up and decided to grab this item. Let me tell you...Since buying this and hooking it up I NEVER get any lag and my streaming services work FLAWLESSLY. This is an amazing item and I would recommend anyone to get this.

I went to Best Buy to be get something that would allow me to connect my PC to my internet/router. Unable to use a normal Ethernet cord (too far) I was recommended this. It plugs into your electrical outlets by your devise and router (2 boxes/units) and a short Ethernet goes from the plug-ins to the router/device. It uses your electrical lines to connect. Super easy to use and works great, highly recommend.

We bought this product when we moved into a newer home and the fiber optic line couldn't be run to the second story office. Although we only get about 80 to 85% of the full speed using this device, it's better than the 45 to 50% we get from wireless. Make sure you plug it directly into the wall outlet and not a surge protector. Unit is easy to install.

My company switched to working from home and I didn't want to run a long ethernet cord across the house. I have been using this network extender for over 7 months and have had no issues with lag or speed interruption. This was a good alternative to staying wired and having the reliable speeds I needed for work.

Work perfectly in my office. Is like having a direct internet connection. My computer is fast and it's better than a wifi signal. I also have a smart TV connection and my streaming service work without freezing or slowing down. I'm a believer in this product and I'm planning to expand my network with two more unit for my other room.

I wasn't familiar with powerlines until a day ago, and I was ready to buy an wireless extender for nearly twice the price of this. I had my doubts about using a wireless network extender because our router is in the kitchen upstairs, and I needed to get a better signal to our basement office on the opposite end of the house. I liked the science behind the powerline and the price, so I gave it a shot. This thing was plug and go, and my internet speeds increased by five times. It's basically like being connected right into our modem.

    Netgear Powerline 1000

This product is exactly what I was looking for. I plug it into the wall with Ethernet cord from my router, and it relays the signal through the electrical socket to the other piece which plugs via Ethernet cord to my x-box one. The signal is sent through the power lines. I never knew the power lines could send data also. The signal maintains its strength and I am able to game from way back in my basement. This product is perfect for sending a signal at a distance. This product must be used with Ethernet cable but they also make one which is like $20 bucks more that sends a wireless signal. You could purchase 2 sets and use up to 8 plug pieces. Me and my roommate share our signal to play Star Wars Battlefront and it handles everything with no lag. I definitely recommend this product to anyone trying to extend their internet signal into other rooms. Wi-Fi does not compare to hardwired Ethernet cable directly.

Very specific use for this device and it performs very well. Smart TV in the living room wouldn't catch a great signal from the router. Replacing the router might have solved the problem, but considering the only issue was the TV, this adapter did the trick. No more issues with buffering or losing connection to the router.

I had no idea this was going to work as well as it does. We were looking at about 100 ft of Ethernet cable to get a hard wire connection for my son's gaming computer. We picked the computer up after being serviced by Geek Squad and asked the tech if they carried that length in-store. He recommended the NETGEAR powerline and we couldn't be happier. Couldn't have been easier to set up. Very happy!

I bought this so I could easily work from home. My router is in my bedroom and my office is at the front of the house. My office phone is VoIP so I need to plug directly into my router for my phone to work in my office. This has been a life saver and works great. Super easy to install!!!! Highly recommend

Overall great product, wasn't sure what to expect as far as range. We have Cox service, so if you're familiar with their network, then you'd know exactly why we'd need something like this. Easy to set up.

I recently purchased this for connecting my self-built desktop computer to the internet via an ethernet connection in a home that has two stories and is roughly 1800 sq/ft. My computer being located on the bottom back right corner, and the wifi router being upstairs in the front left (literally as far as it could be) I often times got a unstable wifi connection that dropped even the simplest of online games like Minecraft and Overwatch. Getting this solved that all, even despite some reviewers not having the best of luck with this item. The instructions were pretty straightforward on the setup side, even down to turning on the encryption feature was a snap. As soon as I got it up and running, I went from a roughly 12 Mbps download to a 25 Mbps, which is amazing considering we pay for 35 Mbps AND are using a set of wires not dedicated to internet connectivity. Best of all, I no longer have any spikes in speed, so I can do all I want to, even play online multiplayer, without being kicked off. Now we shall see with time how well this holds on!

If you are trying to go wired in your home, this is your solution. Data through powerlines is finally affordable and not too difficult to install and maintain. Disable the wireless signal in your router and hook up all your computers and televisions to these Netgear Powerline 1000 Network Extenders also avoids loading delays when multiple devices are using the same wi-fi signal. It frees up the wireless point and the only throttle on your wi-fi signal will be your plan limit. I used to use the wi-fi extender in this Netgear family (Powerline 1000), but I am trying to go wired in our home. However, the wi-fi extender is very useful for ensuring that your child is not online at night, when they should be sleeping. You give your children the password to the Netgear wi-fi extender (and make it different from the password on your actual router), and when it's bedtime, simply unplug the wi-fi extender from the wall and put it in your bedroom, along with all of their other mobile devices.

Setting up a home office upstairs and a whole floor away from the modem connection, this made it so easy to just plug in and have it start working within minutes. I’m sure if I run into issues I can get some support, but this is a step up from Wi-Fi in my opinion for work stations

In an effort to resolve WiFi interference and not spend a bunch of money running ethernet cables through the house , these are a good alternative. It is not suggested if using GFI breakers which unfortunately I have, the max speeds are pretty rough to deal with. From gigabit connection to a max speed of 50mbit local lan. Luckily for applications that do not need much internet speed it is great. Anything that is bandwidth intensive the GFI breakers make it rough to use. Otherwise the product did exactly as I needed minus the issue with GFI breakers which the product warns about.
