agent removed apps to restore my service. i was glad they did a good job

Excellent and speedy set up of the new laptop. The technician even cleaned up some obsolete files. Helped me to link it to iCloud for backup. And explained what he did to the computer in a way that was easy to understand.

I have been a member of this service for YEARS!! I love their professionalism, knowledge and care they give me. I would never go anywhere else. If you have thought about joining in with this elite group, you will not be disappointed.

The Geek Squd helped my tech-challenged brother set up his new IPhone and transfer all of his apps & data. They were quick, accurate and thoroughly professional.

This was my first experience with the Geek Squad. I quickly learned that the people behind the counter are not the geeks. I suppose they are Geeks in Training or GITs. The real geeks are hidden in the back of the geek section of Best Buy. My problem was not typical. I was rebuilding my computer, upgrading the GPUs (now has 3 GPUs) and the motherboard had crashed and I suspected it had sizzled. Furthermore, I had added more storage so that the main box had 14TB. It was tweaked for speed, but not overclocked. But it was not booting. So, first I was told that it would cost 99 bucks for a service contract in order to fix it. Sound expensive? It wasn't, not really. Somewhere along the line, I had fried the PSU. That's not cheap. Best Buy replaced it under my contract (read: for Free) So the first bit of work was a bit slow. Okay, very slow. It took them 6 days to get it all sorted out. I rely on my computer. Finalyl, it was finished. The problem is that they had not set it up with SLI on the GPUs and I wasn't set up for my standard three monitors that I use. Also, the computer was not booting from the SSD drive. It booted from my RAID. This wasn;t good because the config file was about half way done on the RAID. At this point , I figured it was time to switch horses. It was a little harder to explain how I wanted it to work with GITs relaying information to Geeks. Not much direct contact.. Geeks did a good job but I needed someone to sit with me and tweak everything in. So, I called a different service , who sent someone out to finish the finer details. It was an expensive ordeal all together, BUT Best Buy's Geek Squad did a good job at getting everything right. Again, this was not a typical fix, it was more like a rebuild. Nice work... P.S.- I saw 0 female geeks. What's up with that?

Transferred the info from very old apple ipad to new ipad. Some of this involved helping with old apps that needed a password but he very patiently helped to reset the password. He was great!

I supervised the transfer of data because they kept walking off (understandably) and I was in a hurry. In doing that, I could go to the next step right away.

Having not upgraded the Samsung phone since last decade, I was relieved that the staff was friendly and made it easy to switch phones. Good to know about the Samsung Smart Switch app. Moved the photos and files much faster.

Breanna [sp] was excellent. She transferred our phone and explained what we needed to do as we had questions. Very patient. Will have her work on our tech equipment again.

Young man who sold me the phone was very helpful. Changed my carriers, transferef all my info to new phone, and set up my auto pay.

Brought in my wife's new Samsung Galaxy, and the crew quickly set it up and transferred all data from her old phone. They explained everything in simple terms. Well done!

I have been a Geek Squad customer ever since they opened in Dothan, AL. I recently purchased a new Dell laptop and took it to the Geek Squad desk for then to merge my previous laptop info and additional programs I had purchased. I was told it may take a day or two to complete but to my surprise they had it done within a couple of hours as my wife and I had to do a bit more shopping. This has been the standard of their customer service and is why I will always use them for my electronic needs.

I've found buying Geek Squad plan more than pays for itself. After finding a faulty hard drive, installing a new one, the equally important step of reinstalling the programs, data, etc. was handled easily. Only complaint is the four to five day turnaround. But, that speaks to the number of people using the service.

Raoul knew his stuff. Was able to get the info from the old phone to the new one in record time. He deserves a cookie. Well worth the expense.
