Customers find value in the AI Robot Vacuum & Mop's cleaning ability and ease of use, with many praising its simple setup. However, some users experienced issues with the robot's mapping accuracy, battery life, and noise level, while others reported navigation problems and occasional malfunctions. The vacuum's performance was also a point of contention for some customers. Improvements in mapping, battery life, and noise reduction would enhance the overall user experience.

Does not work as advertised , when it maps out house , does not finish whole house , when you run manually , it mops carpet and runs for about 10 minutes and then returns to the base , highest charge is 90%, Shark customer care is HORRIBLE , I suggest not to buy.

So far so good. We needed a new robot for downstairs. It does a great job with picking up on hardwood floors. However, I gave it a 4 because it will vacuum over No Zones that I have put in place on the app. So that is frustrating. I’m assuming it takes a while for the robot to get used to the area or maybe it’s user error.

I had the AI robot vacuum and loved it so I decided to try this VAC MOP out. I'm having technical issues and I am unable to connect to wifi bc it keeps trying to connect to my old one. When I get time to figure it out I will write a new review....until then...it shouldn't be this difficult to connect. :*(

Could be better. Gets stuck on the bases of lamps sometimes. In mopping mode it will only do the room it’s in, and won’t cross the carpet to go to other hard woods. Also doesn’t map all the way to the walls in some places. For the price though, I’m happy with it.

The vacuum worked well but I never got a chance to use the mop. In order to use the mop, the bot has to map your home. Every time it mapped my home and went to charge - the app lost the bot. Therefore, I had to reprogram it for use (everyday) which took about 20 minutes; not worth it.

Great smart vac for vacuuming but the mopping attachment is not idea for large rooms. Very limited mopping distance before running out of solution. I’d just recommend to either get a separate mopping bot and a vac bot. Otherwise use this as a vac bot and occasionally to mop the kitchen.

We have had issues with this vacuum from day 1. It’s not that aweful, maybe we just got a lemon but I’ll be taking it back. First it wouldn’t scan everything and had to redo it multiple times. Second the vacuum stalls lots of times every time it’s running. It’s slow and goes in the same area multiple times a lot. Finally after 3 weeks it stopped working for no reason. I think Shark is a great company but they get ahead of themselves with the technology they release before it is actually usable in the industry.

I am impressive with its AI. It can mop and vacuum at the same time with an affordable price (compare to other models). My house is much cleaner with this Shark. However, first-time set-up could be so difficult with ones who has not familiar with technology. I even need to contact Shark Customer Service so they can remotely force update (which customers can't do themselves). After setup, everything is good but sometimes it will stop suddenly without any clear error notification (just ask us to contact Customer service). The reservoir is also not enough for a whole small house cleaning. I have no problem with this if their app allows schedule cleaning a specific room a day. Scheduling means cleaning the whole house which makes the reservoir is not enough and it stops in the middle of cleaning process.

I knew this vac would be fragile and buggy, so I purchased the 4 year protection program. Lo and behold, Geeksquad is incapable of working on it at all. That information would have been useful prior to buying the protection plan. They were only able to replace it, and then void my warranty. Essentially, I paid for 1.5 vacuums. What a joke. Do not recommend this unit at all and neither does Best Buy with their inability to work on it and steal the remaining years on your so called protection plan.

This vacmop performs as expected and exceeds expectations. We have a dog that sheds quite a bit, so this Shark saves us an incredible amount of time just in maintenance. It's amazing to watch how precise the mapping is and how thorough the cleaning is. One impressive note is that the blades in the brushroll to date have not needed to be detangled from long hairs, so the self-cleaning feature definitely works. We are very happy with this product cleaning on a hard floor with sporadic carpets, as wells a carpeted living room area.

The first unit had constant wifi connection issues, it would drop and reconnect insesantly. Exchanged for another one and the second one is doing better at staying connected but usually loses connection once a day or when not near the mesh client it stays by. So it is terrible at switching between mesh access points. It failed to detect any carpets. It is loud even on eco mode. Way louder than the cheap Eufy it replaced. And sometimes it just stops even when it isn't stuck on something, maybe it's when it loses wifi connection? I wish I would have bought a different brand.

I would not recommend this item. The mop on it is useless. Make sure to empty this out after each use. The suction is not that strong and I still had to use a vacuum on the floor afterwards. For the money.. I’d highly suggest spending a little more and get a vacuum and mop separately. It also constantly said it could not connect to the wireless network yet worked fine when I hit start. Best Buy was great, I returned it and was able to order something different.

Robot is good but programming is lacking

I have had this robot for several weeks and have found it to be perfect for my needs even though it can be frustrating. Hardware: The robot can both mop or vacuum. This is great as my whole house is wood/hard floors with rugs in various rooms. It will only mop/vac the hard floors when I put the mopping attachment on, and when that is off it will vacuum everything. The robot does a good job of cleaning the floors. It seems to have about a 50% overlap on rows so it picks up everything in the room. The only complaint I have with the cleaning part of it is the little sweeping arms that are supposed to clean along the edge and sweep things to the vacuum don't do much. We still have to clean under cabinets and along baseboards every so often. The path the vacuum takes is also pretty efficient. It cleans like you would mow a yard essentially. It goes around the perimeter and then cleans the room row by row. I wish the mopping tank was slightly bigger. I have about 1100 sq ft of floor space with about 800 sq ft that is mops. On the low flow setting it seems to only be able to do about 700 sq ft before it runs out and stops. The mopping is good for regular cleaning but don't expect it to get large spots or marks up. We spot clean anything that need scrubbed before then this cleans/polishes the floors well. Setup: The setup is easy enough. Install the app, run through the detection procedures, customize the map and it's ready to go. It got there but was not completely smooth. The first run for mapping worked perfectly and came up with a very accurate floorplan of my house. I had to adjust/combine zones it had created but that all worked very easily. The second sweep it does is to detect rugs (so it does not try to mop carpet). This one had a problem, it took the robot until the 3rd try for some reason to complete this. The first 2 attempts it made it 50% then 70% through the house and returned to the dock and acted like it hadn't done anything. Once it got it on the 3rd attempt though it's been fine. After that you just have to empty the container and refill the mop and it's good to go. App/Programming: I think this is the major weakness of this robot. I like Shark products and have faith they will work these issues out as they're all easily fixable through updates. - App would not allow anything except full house cleaning. If you tried to do 'high traffic' or selected rooms it would just 'communicate' and go back to the main screen like you hadn't done anything. This is one of the major selling points of this robot so it not working is a major problem. I contacted customer service and they advised to resize the rooms on the map so none were overlapping because apparently that throws the robot for a loop and it can't determine where a room stops. Seems like an easy problem to fix on their end but I adjusted rooms with space between and it didn't fix the problem. UPDATED 1/9/21 - The most recent app update fixed the individual room problem for me. After that update I can select room or 'high traffic' and it goes about it's business and returns to the dock as it should. - Presets will not hold in the global settings. I have the vacuum set to MAX and the mop flow set to Low on the robot settings in the app but every time I start it is goes back to regular vacuuming and normal flow. I have to adjust each time so I don't know what the point of having global settings is if they don't translate to the robot presets. - No computer support is frustrating when trying to set up and adjust the map at the beginning. It's difficult to swipe around the map to resize rooms and zones on a small phone. I'm guessing the app might work on tablets also which would be easier but having a website login would be very convienent. - This is not as much a problem as something goofy. The app gives you a timer for how long the robot has been cleaning. But the timer is all over the place unless you leave the app open the whole time. If you close it and open it later it's like it wasn't counting the time, then if you open it again later it's jumped, but not to the correct time, just something in between correct and the last time it showed. It doesn't really make a difference but a programming problem. - I came in to the robot one day stuck on a thick rug we have because it was supposed to be mopping and for some reason drove to the middle of the rug. It's supposed to stay clear of rugs when mopping so something with programming freaked out that time and didn't keep it away. That only happened once though and has been fine. - The robot has a nice Recharge and Restart setting that lets it go back to the cradle when the batteries low, recharge, then start where it left off to finish the run. For some reason this does not translate to the mopping though. The battery outlasts the fluid tank and when the tank is empty, it just stops wherever it is and waits for you to refill it. It would be nice if it would go back and recharge while waiting to be refilled, not just sit. The restart doesn't always work after it runs out either, I have to hit the clean button on the robot itself to get it to finish the run. If you hit the play button from the app it will finish the room and go back to the charger for some reason, not finish the whole run. I have listed a number of issues I had hoping that buyers will know the little things before hand and decide if those would be a problem for them. I would still recommend this robot as it is great to have 1 robot that both vacuums or vac/mops. It does a good job of cleaning and all of my issues can be ironed out with updates. Some of them have been fixed already so they are continuing to fine tune. Overall I would recommend this robot. It beats the price of 2 different robots to do each and once the bugs are fixed should be a good complete package.
