So this is my first “robot” vacuum. I named him Jeff lol. While his battery last for ever, his canister is very small and I usually have to stop him every fifteen minutes to dump it out. He also has got caught on my dogs tail repeatedly. The bristles on the outside that spin will continue to twist even after it wraps up. She’s an older dog and isn’t bothered by sound or machines. Now I make sure to put a boundary around her so she doesn’t get caught. Also he has zero sense of direction. He just kind of randomly moves around. Also when I send him to dock he retaliates and almost purposefully gets him self stuck. He will go to the opposite side of a room away from the dock and go places he never does on clean lol.

Was slow and didn't pick up in corners. Would work good for someone who is a minimalist

It's not very smart but does what it needs to do. It does take up a lot of wifi bandwidth, which is extremely annoying. Also, it does require babysitting, which kind of defeats the purpose. It's 2023 I thought that robot vacuums would be more advanced at this time. It ran over dog pee in my house and spread it all over my floor.

Personally, I struggled a lot to connect this vacuum to my cellphone. I personally did not love it. I returned it 2 days after not being able to connect it to my phone and even struggled to connect it with the help of Shark’s Costumer Service. (I am Tech-Savvy and this was a challenge).

Not good, compare to others, no extra brushes .Docking movement required 3ft X 2ft X 3 ft space. Too noisy when parking

Big issue! This vacuum would not connect to my WIFI. Called their support and they could not figure out either.

After trying this robot for a day, decided to return it for a newer model. This one is "blind" in that it does not see at all where it is going and randomly bumps into things and then makes a random change of direction. If you like watching a blind robot bump into things for hours it is for you. If you want your floors to cleaned efficiently, choose another model...

It does decent job. For the price it should clean a like better. It's quiet but doesn't seem to have enough suction power. Storage bin is poorly designed. It doesn't hold very much. I won't buy this item again.

Salesman said it had a self emptying dock/tank, but it does not

I didn't like this machine at all. Never had a chance to use it. It wouldn't connect to wifi. I spent 3 days trying. Even with geek squad and sharks teams trying, it still wouldn't connect.

We were happy with this vacuum initially but now it doesn't clean like it did when we first purchased. Got it for a good price, so I thought I'd give it a try...wish I would have just spent up.

Not very good product. Reasonably priced but performance was awful. Would have given 1 star but best buy app wont allow it so it prefers only positive comments

I screwed up and went cheaper - this model just rubs aroubd until it hits something.

One bad experience aside, I have continually been a fan of Shark vacuums. Currently, I have a Shark Robot and hand vac downstairs and the same upstairs, and the RV763 was intended to replace an aging robot. Setting it up and connecting to Wi-Fi was quite easy. I have a cat and picking up cat hair is job one for any vacuum of mine. The RV763, even at the lowest power setting, does an effective job on both carpeted and wooden floors. Controlling the vacuum is easily done using the excellent Shark app, by voice via Alexa or Google, and manually via the easy to see onboard controls. The one thing that the RV763 does not have, as my other Shark Robots do, is a mapping function utilized before its first independent cleaning operation. Instead, this model relies solely on bumper sensors and cliff sensors. Unfortunately, this where the vac fails. On it’s first run, it ran around randomly and collided with everything in its way. It slowed for nothing: walls, furniture, etc. Hoping that issue would correct itself after getting familiar with the area, I cautiously tried again over three days. Nope, it still ran amok as if it were in a demolition derby. Never have I experienced this with any other Shark vacuum. Color-wise, it is a white Shark, but I doubt that explains the aggressiveness. Overall, as a vacuum, the RV763 does a decent job. However, performance comes at the potential cost of damage to walls and furniture. Only if a buyer plans to use it solely in an area that cannot be damaged would I recommend it.
