Bought for small size, portability as backup machine for private data without having to be exposed to the internet. At the sale price it seemed a good deal, and so far has worked well aside from its operating system. Of course it runs Windows 8.1, the worst operating system ever conceived by Microsoft, meaning that some important software that runs well in Windows 7 will not work with this machine. Perhaps when (if) the upgrade to Windows 10 happens, these problems may possibly be solved. For the present the machine is of limited usefulness to me. If someone without a software library wants to jump into computing before Windows 10, this laptop may be acceptable to them.

Good laptop for students and casual users. The HD screen resolution is outstanding. It took some getting use too on windows 8.1. Only small problem I have is the keys lag sometimes other than that a great computer for beginners.

I had to replace my computer due to a broken screen. The new laptop was given to me because of the warranty replacement plan I purchased. I highly recommend the warranty plan! I love my new Toshiba and would recommend it and Best Buy again.

I am a programmer and needed a compact laptop with decent processor and memory. This turned out to be a perfect fit. I have had it for over a month and extremely satisfied with it. My only reservation is that the function keys are not lit when keys are pressed. Other than that it is a great laptop.
