great monitor
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have used viewsonic for years. Great monitor. Only issue was when hooked up the xbox for a day or two. The screen would blink every 20 seconds or so. This was not bought for xbox use. Moved and only output at the time was this screen. Not sure if it was the setting or not but otherwise has worked great.

Not as good as a comparable LG
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this monitor as a replacement to an LG 43" UHD 4k monitor that worked as advertised other than the USB 3.0 ports not working. I was offered a buyback from LG so I opted for this monitor. Comparing the 2 monitors is easy and the Viewsonic comes in far behind the LG. First off, the LG had a great picture, and while you would get a slight black border (1/8") which is common on this size of monitor, it's more profound on the Viewsonic, especially at the bottom. Another troubling apsect of the Viewsonic is that the whites are "white" in the middle, but tend to go from warm to cool going left to right. This is annoying for many reasons, and anybody who would be doing video editing for photography would be extremely disappointed. I don't do either of those and it's annoying. The sound of the LG built-in speakers was well above average for built-in speakers. The Viewsonic's speakers sound empty and dull. The LG also had a remote with it which made navigating the menus easier. The Viewsonic's OSD menu is not intuitive at all and does not have a remote. The LG monitors base didn't slide around on my desk very easy, where as the Viewsonic does. While I'm not sliding or moving things around, it just make the Viewsonic feel "cheaper" and less refined. Unfortunately, for a higher price than the LG and for a company (Viewsonic) that has been making monitors forever, this is a pretty big letdown. I'm not happy with this purchase at all. In fact, I might just keep my LG although the USB ports don't work.
