Customers are saying
Customers consistently note the excellent convection cooking and ease of use of this over-the-range microwave. Many appreciate its quiet operation, attractive design, and the helpful sensor cooking feature. However, some users mention concerns about the sturdiness of the door and find the control panel somewhat challenging to navigate. The microwave's weight and the keypad's functionality are also mentioned as areas needing improvement.

Nice to have conventional cooking plus a microwave
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fan died on our Whirlpool over-the-range microwave. Since it was 4 years old, it was clearly out of warranty. I could probably have replaced it with a nearly identical model from Whirlpool (to use the same wall and hanging brackets) for about the same as getting it repaired. But my wife decided that having a combination conventional oven and microwave plus our normal oven would be more flexible so we donated the old one and got this model. The control layout is entirely different and is taking some getting used to. The oven portion is convection-only so you do have to use convection oven cooking directions not conventional oven directions. It has a number of features we haven't tried yet. The microwave seems a little less powerful than the old model so we're having to zap our popcorn a little longer (first world problems, eh?). However, it does seem to work well overall and the fingerprint resistant stainless steel actually seems to resister fingerprints. Will wonders never cease? Now if only the glass front could resist fingerprints!

Power microwave and nice convection options
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great microwave. The convention oven portion is nice to have when you have a lot going on in the kitchen on the holidays. Fun fact, when you tell it to cook something with auto cook and convection, it can speed up the cooking of some foods by strategically microwaving at different times while convention cooking to speed up the cook time. The power if the microwave is great. The microwave i had before this one was seemed weak even though the rating was the same. I definitely recommend this unit.

Meh
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s ok. Paid too much. The Wi-Fi feature is a gimmick and not very useful for me. Microwave power is weaker than my old countertop model. Convection over is pretty much useless. Takes forever to come up to temp and when you load your food it takes forever again to get back up to temp. It’s HUGE. I mounted correctly and it sticks out a good inch from my standard cabinets. Hangs a bit below cabinets too but still has more than the recommended distance to the range top. Measured and measured again. My gripe - the unit gets super hot from the range. plastic on the bottom edge of the front cracked from heat cycling from the range. When it gets REALLY hot from the range, the exhaust fan kicks on stupid high and stats on for stupid long. I do make a habit to run the fan on low when I use my range, but kids don’t always remember. ... hence the cracked plastic

Not as good as the 2008 microwave it replaced
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long list of shortcomings - not true convection roast, uses microwave to supplement the convection, so you are limited in backware options to microwave-compatible. (Convection bake gets around that if you raise the cooking temp.) No convection keep-warm hold options, only 10% microwave power that overheats food. Convection cooking rack set too high in oven for best heat distribution, and the little circular rack that goes on the turntable for convection cooking doesn't hold much. Range-top light very dim even on bright, at only 25 watts. Controls are in bottom of door instead of one one side, where they are apparently very sensitive to overheating. Exhaust fan comes during at ordinary cooking at jet-engine high and stays on. And, it's huge. One plus, the microwave function is very quiet. It might get replace way before its time.Anotherher plus, it clears smoke out in a hurry if you don't mind the jet-engine sound.
