- A: AnswerIt is not a stand-alone sensor, it's an add-on sensor to the SimpliSafe home security system, which does have a hub. If you own a SimpliSafe security system, you can add this sensor tot he system.

Easy to install water leak sensor
Super easy to install - just place it where needed to alarm for water leaks. I placed it in the laundry room next to the washer.

Pleasantly Surprised
I tried out the water sensor by pouring water on the floor and having it flow into its path. The sensor was triggered instantly and we also received a call from Simplisafe with 30 secs of the sensor going off. I was pleasantly surprised and glad to have these under the dish washer and washing machine.
