Nice SSD, speeds can be slow
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This SSD is very nice, but when you do a speed test on it, it is a tad bit lacking in speed compared to other offerings from Samsung, like the T7. I get around ~200MB/s writes and around ~400MB/s reads with this drive. It works great for storing files and it's extremely portable, but don't expect it to be blazing fast.

PS4 Extended Storage
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this to double the storage on my PS4 Pro. It did just that. I kind of wish I would have gotten a 2 TB SSD external hard drive. I'll look into that when my storage is full again

Q: Questionwhat is the transfer rate
Asked by Don.
- A:Answer Hi Don, My Passport™ Go is the tough SSD drive built to travel. With a rubber protective bumper on the outside, a solid state drive on the inside, and a built-in cable for convenience; this is no ordinary drive. At more than 2.5x faster than most portable hard drives, the My Passport™ Go portable drive delivers SSD performance of up to 400MB/s. Q: QuestionCan this be used to store and play PS5 games on PS5?
Asked by gamerwizk1d.
- A:Answer Hello Gam3r18, Sony added support for external USB hard drives on the PS5 with their April 2021 update. However, due to PS5 restrictions, games can only be played off the console’s internal SSD. As such, external USB storage hard drives only function as a faster way to hot-swap games and data on or off the PS5’s internal storage. -Need Help? Please see our "'Contact Us" page for information

Q: QuestionCan you transfer directly from a card reader without a computer?
Asked by Stratprof.
- A:Answer Unless it’s a smart reader that can do that transfer and power up the drive on its own, then no. This is just a dummy device. It’s storage. You’ll still need something to tell it what to copy and where.

Q: QuestionCan a WD Passport Go have a factory reset and still work as if new so I can start over? I screwed up and it appears to be backing up my desktop C & D in a couple different folders because it says it's full, yet my desktop usage should not have filled it.
Asked by Chris.
- A:Answer You can always format the drive and start from scratch, but it sounds like you have some sort of auto backup running. You’ll want to stop that if you’re not wanting to fill up the drive automatically.

Q: QuestionCan I use this to play games with my pc?
Asked by Amend.
- A:Answer Yes, of course you can use it to play games on a PC. This is compatible with PC, MAC, PS3/PS4, Xbox 360/Xbox One, and just about any other device or system that uses the USB 3.0 port for connectivity (I have no idea why Western Digital answered this question at all if they were going to just post some totally unrelated copy/paste nonsense...LOVE WD hard drives & SSDs, but that was a seriously whack brainless tech monkey response...do better WD!)
