If there's a power surge or fluctuation that damages your product, we'll make things right. This includes a surge caused by a lightning strike.
We'll reinstall your product.
After we resolve what’s wrong with your refrigerator or freezer, we'll reinstall it if we originally installed it.
You can transfer your Geek Squad Protection.
When you sell or give someone your covered product, Geek Squad Protection is still in effect, with no additional charges or restrictions. Call 1-800-433-5778 to transfer.

*For some appliance products, we have limited access to replacement parts. Due to these complexities, we will skip any repair efforts and replace or reimburse you for your broken item.

- A: AnswerAfter delivery, I was emailed a "link" to see my "Geek coverage". I did not receive any paperwork about the maintenance agreement at the store when I made my purchase. Don't know if this helps??

A: AnswerYes, your warranty and extended warranty (Geek Squad Protection Plan) if purchased goes into effect on the date of delivery. Although, any issues within the first year must be resolved through the manufacturer. This basically means your first year Geek Squad protection plan is for nothing. Even though you paid for year 1, you technically can't use the plan until the 2nd year.Answered by Xmen
- A: AnswerDefinitely not through Geek Squad as their coverage does NOT include anything cosmetic. Furthermore, if the product is still under MFG warranty, having geek squad come out to look at the unit will result in a service fee. Reread your contract. Maybe if you contact the manufacturer you might get some help...

- A: AnswerDo NOT trust the answer from Geek Squad. I had the same issues and the 5-years plan when I purchased in Aug. 2017 didn't specify if the shelves are covered or not. And it has been specified in the new terms & conditions after Sep. 2017. I contacted the manager at Bestbuy and representatives at Geek Squad multiple times, and they asked me to contact each other a lot. Finally, I've got an answer that they can't cover it because it's a part of cosmetic damage even though the terms & condition doesn't specify it. If it's still arguable that who will be in charge of in case if a container dropped to my baby's head and make a Hazzard if the Geek Squad defines it as the part of cosmetic problems.
