Hot Coffee
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this coffee maker. The last one I had, you had to nuke it even after pouring it from the burner (POT), This one, when you pour, it's HOT and it has options. Only thing, I wish it would stay on longer than 2 hours before turning off. But, all you need to do is hit the button and it heats up again!

Happy so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Many of the reviews mention a strong plastic smell. They are correct. I ran two full pots of clear water through first. This did not get rid of the odor which seems to come from the lid on the pot. It slowly went away but took about a week. The first few pots of coffee you could still notice the smell but it did completely go away. I have experienced this with other coffee makers in the past. The coffee brews hotter and faster than my old maker, I like this, but be sure to use a quality filter so it doesn't overflow and run grounds in to the pot. The Kcup has worked fine though it is not constructed as well as the Keurig but I only will use it occasionaly. If you were to use it several times a day every day it may wear out sooner than you would like, but only time will tell.

Love the Versatility
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had one of those coffee machines that uses disposable coffee pods. But when I saw one of these Hamilton Beach machines at my nephew's house, I had to have one of these instead. I love the fact that you can brew a whole carafe, or single-serve (by using either a Keurig-style coffee cup or a coffee pod). And though at first I thought it was a little bothersome to have to fill up the tank with each single serve cup, I believe now that it probably is better than having water sit in a reservoir (like in my old machine), sometimes for days before being used. I am very pleased with the temperature of the coffee also; I think it comes out much hotter than that other machine. It is a nice looking machine, too.

I really love it so far!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this product so far! I like being able to brew a cup or two before work and a full pot on the weekend! Very convenient! However, I just wish you could fill it with water and not have to fill it every time, for each single serve cup. If you pour too much water in, you get an error message and have to dump it out and start over. Other than that, it brews a mean cup of joe! Wish it would come with a sample pack of K-cups! :)

Love this coffee maker!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading other negative reviews on leaking and bad/plastic tasting coffee, I was a bit nervous. I decided to go ahead, since it still seemed to the best option for us. We've used it for a couple of months now and we haven't had any problems. I think I figured out why others probably had those issues though. First, the cleansing of the new machine has to be done as listed in the instructions. We did that, and there's not been any 'bad taste'. Actually, it's really good tasting! I know that not cleaning it before its first use would have been their problem because the pots of water made by the cleaning process did smell like plastic. The leaking issue for others could have come by them either overfilling the pot or by not locking down the pod side of the maker when making a full pot. Again, both of these situations are stated in the instructions as how to ensure best operation of the maker. We followed the instructions and we haven't had any leaking issues. I would highly recommend this maker, and would hope others just read the info that comes with the maker. Then they could have a great maker too!

Good 2 in 1 product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the option of either making a full pot of coffee or just one cup at a time. The only drawback is you can't fill up the reservoir completely and only make one cup of coffee like the Keurig. You have to fill the reservoir with only 1 cup of water at a time to make one cup of coffee at a time. If you fill the reservoir completely you can only make a full pot or it will give you an error when trying to make one cup. Still a nice product.

Q: QuestionI have a error on screen what is wrong
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Err seems to mean it has too much water for the single cup and will stop instead of overflowing and dumping hot water all over the counter. When it happened to me, I found that I had overfilled the system when selecting single cup. To prevent overflowing, you are only allowed to have 14oz of water in the machine when you choose the single cup. I unplugged that machine to reset it (which may or may not have been necessary), but then turn the selector knob back to carafe to dump out whatever water was still in the system. At this point, the coffee maker was entirely empty of water and the err went away. When making a single cup, such as for a travel mug, just put the water into the travel mug and put only that much water into the machine. -Dan

Q: QuestionIs coffee as strong using kcup ,
Asked by Deanna.
- A:Answer Yes the coffee comes out hot. Easy to fill. No drama. . This allows me to make a single cup for myself and then a pot of coffee for students. I love it. I will buy another for my home eventually. . Read the instructions. If you want one cup of coffee, you only can pour in to the "single cup" line of water. If you fill more it will automatically fill the coffee pot and not the k-cup. Sounds simple, but the natural tendency is to fill the water port. If you do that, then it will not allow the k-cup to operate. You need to "low fill" for k-cup.

Q: QuestionDoes the coffee come out nice and hot? Can you program how long the coffee maker keeps the coffee hot? Is it easy to fill it with water?
Asked by Suel.
- A:Answer All of our coffeemakers brew between 175 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit. To fill the water reservoir, you simply open the door on the top of the appliance and use the carafe or a coffee mug to dump the desired amount of water into the appliance. The carafe side has a KEEP WARM mode of two hours after the coffee has been brewed.
