Great Washing Machine

This new one is similar, but the controls are easier to use (nice improvements over the many years since we got the first one.) The Turbo wash feature is a really nice feature because it shortens the cycle time a lot. We got the raised platforms which lifts the machines about a foot and makes it much easier to load and unload the laundry. We bought LG again because we had absolutely no problems with the old ones and are hoping the new ones as just as reliable. (Also bought matching electric dryer -- ditto on comments)

Very customer friendly!!!!! It has not disappointed me at all, so far. I am also pleased at how quiet it operates. I have it next to my kitchen, and it is very quiet when on.

Do not buy this washer.

When the spin cycle kicks in it's like a jet taking off. I have used a level and vibration pads but this thing isn't having it. Now to the worst problem the mold. It is impossible to get rid of it. We always leave the door open and wipe down the seal but the mold grow behind it. Please give me a refund or a credit so I can buy a top load washer.

Q: QuestionDo I need to buy high efficiency detergent just for this washer?

- A:Answer The salesperson told us "yes". I was concerned but then realized my regular detergent already is "he- high efficiency". I suspect that most of the big name brands are. Just look on your detergent container that you already use and see if it has the "he" symbol on it. You'll be fine then.

- A:Answer Generally speaking, 4 cubic feet is enough to wash 12-16 pounds of laundry. A larger capacity unit at 4.5 cubic feet can hold up to 20 pounds of laundry. A general rule of thumb is a queen size comforter can fit into 3.5 cubic feet and a king size comforter fit into a 3.8 cubic feet machine. ^CP

Q: QuestionWhat is the noise level on this? We currently have an old Frigidaire gallery (that we inherited) and the washer sounds like a train coming through while the dryer is loud enough to justify my husband raising the volume to LOUD on the TV. Thanks!

- A:Answer The noise level is not bad. I actually think it has a pretty low level of noise. I only hear it when I am in the next room with the door open. I don't have to turn up the volume on the television to hear it. The washer we had before was a Kenmore front loading machine (that I never thought was loud) yet this machine is quieter. Don't get me wrong, it isn't silent, just a muffled sound.
