I should have also mentioned that you will need to specify a DVD (Media) player after you insert the DVD. When I inserted a disk for the very first time, it asked what program should be associated with a movie DVD. Selections were: Browse the internet; Browse your computer for a program; or select the Dell Power Media Player. I selected the Dell Power Media Player which then installed and allowed the option to play the movie (with the familiar DVD remote layout at the bottom of the screen to play, pause, fast forward/reverse, etc). After selecting play, my movie started successfully with sound coming from a Bluetooth speaker I specified after setting up on my computer, since I haven't hooked up any wired speakers to the connections on the back of the computer and this desktop does not have it's own internal speaker. Again, hope this is helpful.

They would play on whatever monitor (DVD) or sound system (DVD & CD), the actual Desktop tower (this product), is hooked up to. My system is hooked up to a dell 27" monitor, so in my case that's where I'd watch the contents of the DVD. However, you could hook up the connections (VGA or (HDMI, which I believe this product also has)) to an actual big screen TV (that have either the VGA and most common HDMI connectors), and play the DVD on the bigger screen (after finding and selecting the correct Desktop tower input on your TV's setting menu (i.e. HDMI1,or HDMI2, etc). I've never tried that, but have played my DVD movie digital content I have on MoviesAnywhere on my regular Computer monitor successfully (although I prefer to watch them on my larger screen smart TV which can also play from MoviesAnywhere). I hope this helps.
