A:Answeraccording to the manual I looked at the USB A (rectangular) connection is on the Epson, not the USB B (square) connection like other printers have.
A:AnswerThe Best People to answer that question would be the EPSON people themselves, try calling the cust. svc. at 800-463-7766. I haven't tried printing on Avery Labels as they are of different sizes and shapes. Hope this answer helps.
A:AnswerActually the resolution of this printer is 5760x1440. After a lengthy phone call with Epson support asking them why the box says 5760x1440, they realized their specs on the website were wrong
A:AnswerHello SMAfan. Yes, setting up your ET-2850 with an iPhone or iPad is very easy. You can use your printer wirelessly via AirPrint or the Epson iPrint app. You can download the latest version of iPrint via the Apple App Store. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHi, Yes, you can print on A7-size envelopes using the EcoTank ET-2850. The driver does not include a preset size, but you can create and save a user-defined size for A7. This is a simple operation that you only need to do once. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHello Steve. Sometimes printers can take longer than expected to charge. It's best to avoid restarting the machine, as the initial setup can start from the beginning all over again. If the printer is not making any progress on the initial setup, then please contact our Technical Support team by phone for additional assistance. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHello Tess. The maximum supported paper size on the ET-2850 is 8.5" x 47.2". Unfortunately, 11" x 17" paper is not supported. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHi HowieFromMaui, Typically clogged nozzles on any ink jet printer, not just the ET-2850, are caused by dried ink collecting around the nozzles. If you print something each week, even as little as a nozzle check pattern, this is extremely unlikely to happen. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHi Hemi5961. The Epson ET-2850 was not designed for dye-sublimation printing nor the use of non-genuine Epson ink cartridges. Using sublimation ink in this printer could damage the print head and impact warranty coverage. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerYou can buy sublimation ink on Amazon. There are a few top rated inks to use. Just be sure when you use that ink you keep using the exact same ink. Do not change company as inks are made differently
A:AnswerHello ml. While the ET-2850 supports double-sided printing, it is generally not recommended to be used on supported glossy paper. Please see the User's Guide on our official Epson Support page for compatible paper types. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHi Bana42, The EcoTank ET-2850 is a light office duty printer. It produces decent quality photos on glossy or matte photo paper. If you need excellent photo quality, please consider an Epson Expression line printer. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerYeah don't believe Epson response. I have this printer and it prevents you from printing at all if its full. To fix it you have to take it to an official Epson repair place where they charge $175.00 + an hour to do the replacement. It requires a new removable container that has a chip to tell the printer when its full. You can buy a 3rd party container but i haven't fount one thats compatible with 2850 model. Epson how about you answer why I can't swap out the tank myself? It basically forces you to buy a new printer. Spend $300 on printer then when its full throw out buy another $300
