A:AnswerHello RJ. Yes, the WF-7840 can reduce and enlarge copies between 25% up to 400% directly from the control panel. On the copy screen, you can find the option under the basic settings tab. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHello quilter. The WF-7840 can print on different paper types. Unfortunately, we have not tested fabric sheets to confirm print compatibility. We recommend reaching out to the paper manufacturer to verify functionality with our All-In-One printers using pigment-based inks. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHi Quest, Yes, the WorkForce Pro WF-7840 works with Monterey products. You can download Mac drivers from the Epson Support site. iPhones and iPads can print using AirPrint, or Epson's free Smart Panel app. Regards, Syd - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHello Marcie. The WF-7840 can hold approximately 50 11" x 17" plain paper sheets in the automatic document feeder. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHi Sublimation. The Epson WF-7840 was not designed for dye-sublimation printing nor the use of non-genuine Epson ink cartridges. Using sublimation ink in this printer could damage the print head and impact warranty coverage. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHello Confused59. Yes, the WF-7840 fax feature can only be used with a telephone landline. You can fax from the printer's control panel or via the Fax Utility software from a computer. Please visit our official Epson Support page to download the latest version of the Epson Fax Utility. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerI have the same experience. I do not believe the WF-7840 has true single-pass scanning capability. I do not see a second scan head anywhere on the device. My previous Brother MFC had two scan heads and did single pass scanning.
I cannot find any setting on the Epson that would indicate otherwise, and the User Guide doesn't mention single pass under Scan Settings.
A:AnswerOn the unit's display, go to Settings\Maintenance\Ink Cartridge(s) Replacement and follow the on screen directions. You cannot open the ink cartridge cover until it is in this mode.
A:AnswerHello Ross. Yes, the WF-7840 is a good choice for an All-In-One printer with fax features. It also includes a variety of fax settings that integrates well with your computer, like the ability to save faxes onto a memory drive. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHi, Load your 13" x 19" sheets in the rear feed tray, select the Paper Tray as the Paper Source, and 13" x 19 as the Document Size. You can load 50 sheets of plain paper in the rear feed tray. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHello Dale340. Yes, the WF-7840 can temporarily print in "black only" mode when other color cartridges are expended. If printing stops, you can cancel your print job and select settings to temporarily print with only black ink on plain paper or an envelope. We recommend replacing any expended color cartridges as soon as possible as this can lead to print head-related issues. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
