QuestionThis unit is for my elderly mother with no internet at her home. Can this unit be run like an old-fashion window air conditioner without internet (no bells and whistles)? Can we just install and plug it in and turn it on?

- Answer Connectivity can add convenience to the experience of using the air conditioner, but you can certainly choose to use the air conditioner without connecting if that’s better for your mother! The air conditioner can be operated without connecting to Wi-Fi. -Sarah@GEAppliances

- Answer The electrical usage depends on the the temperature and fan speed you select as well as the outdoor temperature. This unit is rated at 10.9 CEER which is a measure of how efficiently a cooling system will operate and when in standby mode. The Energy Guide label is available online. - Answer The power cord on your air conditioner has a circuit interrupter device on it. Press the reset button on the cord and check to see if the unit will run. If you have not already done so, disconnect power to your air conditioner for 2-3 minutes to reset the electronics. If the unit will not run and you have checked to ensure your outlet is still working properly, contact your dealer about returning the unit for an exchange. If you are past their exchange period, please call 1-866-907-1655 for warranty assistance. - Vikki@GEAppliances

- Answer An air conditioner may not cool properly due to restricted airflow, incorrect temperature settings, a dirty filter, a hot starting room, cold air escaping, or iced‑up cooling coils. For ways to troubleshoot this issue, see the “Air conditioner does not cool as it should” section on page 13 of the Owner’s Manual, which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the product page of the Best Buy website. -- If those tips don’t help, see page 17 of the Owner’s Manual for warranty exchange information. - Answer Yes, the 2.4 GHz band provides longer-range coverage but transmits data at slower speeds. The 5 GHz band offers less coverage but transmits at faster speeds than the 2.4 GHz band. This model will work with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant

- Answer I'm assuming you want to know how much the fascia stick out the window? Depends on your window style, but storm windows 1-3 inches, 3-5 for other styles.

- Answer I just recommend checking on it every day mine erent light up and when i checked the filter it was filled after two days of use. But i was able to tell because the air qualify was different and it makes a different noise when it needs cleaning.

QuestionIs this a super quiet air conditioner?

- Answer Much quieter then say a box fan, it is noisy if you decide to leave the plug in as the fan will hit the water that drips from condensation so the water keeps it cool (it's more efficient with the plug in) but if you want quiet over effectiveness then just pull the plug and you will just have a fan noise. We have ours right next to us and can hear the TV fine with it on.

- Answer Had it for a week, and have it setup to turn temp down 30 mins before I get home, starting off at around 80* it will be around 75-77 (depending on outside temps) when I get home
