A:AnswerThanks for reaching out! Yes, this is normal. It will squeak when in need of defrosting. It may start to squeak as ice starts to build up around the mechanisms. The defrost cycle is automatic and may take 10 to 45 minutes. We hope this helps, and should you have any additional questions, please reach out to us!- Kianna@GEA
A:AnswerHi - Our Profile Opal ice maker is not designed to be connected to a water supply line. The reservoir is filled by hand as needed. The "good ice" is always fresh, delicious and chewable. Nugget ice available at home whenever you want it day or night. All our best! Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerI'm sure there is a specific quantity, but I basically use about 60-70 ounces at a time when its empty. I fill it with a 30 oz tumbler twice. We bought the extra tank as an accessory, but haven't felt the need to use it. Still in box.

A:AnswerWe'd be happy to share the dimensions of this great ice maker! Its dimensions are: 16-1/2" x 10-1/2" x 17-1/2" (HxWxD). We hope this helps! Let us know if you have any more questions about it. -Chris@GEA
A:AnswerNo. It has a tank that you fill and you can add an additional side tank to hold more water but it does not have any way to connect to a water line.
A:AnswerHello- Thank you for your question. Condensation is normal with the opal icemakers. During normal operation, condensation forms on the bottom surface of the ice bin. This water will sometimes collect and drip down the lower front surfaces of the ice maker. The included drip tray can be installed in front of the Opal to collect this water. Now if you find that there is other issues or concerns then you can reach out to our Opal support number- 866-907-6718.
Let us know if we can assist with anything else. Take care! Dianna@GEA
