- Answer To connect a computer the chrome browser is required. In the chrome Web store search for google cast and install the plug in.

- Answer This plugs in straight to your HDMI on your TV and you power it up using the USB, on the TV. You will require WIFI. The Xbox and PS3, have apps that you can download to play Hulu/Netflix. As of now they are not linked, but you can link it to your laptop.

- Answer The Chromecast isn't used to provide any media. It simply sends content from your internet browser to your TV. If a bowl games is available via WatchESPN or some other source, it could be watched on your TV with the Chromecast.

- Answer It will not add any channels as such but it if can get things like ESPNU or MLB.com it will allow you to watch them on your TV instead of you phone or tablet. Everything on Chromecast comes off your phone or tablet.

- Answer MP4's are no problem. I've not found an app that will play mkv files yet. You will need a few extra apps to do this. Allcast localcast these two apps will let you view your local content via the chromecast. the setup is fairly easy.

Questionadd to other questionI asked a question about the chrome cast working with other streaming sites but I forgot to mention that I have a Microsoft surface RT tablet and some apps like the chrome browser won't download on it. It is one thing I am disappointed with this tablet for..... pretty much the only thing really, there are other things it won't allow me to download but that is the only one o can think of that pertains to this. Would it still be ideal for me to purchase the chrome cast?

- Answer you still can cast from netflix direct or browser, works great with smartphones like iphone or androids, you don't need a tablet or laptop at all.

QuestionsitesI watch a lot of TV shows and movies on different streaming sites ie, solarmovies, megashare, primewire etc. Will chrome cast work with these sites? I do also watch lots of Netflix and some YouTube so it may still be worth it for me but it would be nice if it work for my other sites aswell

QuestionChromecast overheating and quits working.I will be watching something through the chromecast and it will just stop working and go blank screen. I can reset it and it will work for a little while and then quit again. Very hot to the touch.

- Answer Make sure there is airflow behind your tv. If it's in a cubby hole or something like that it can overheat easily.

QuestionCan I stream from a smart tv to another tv with the chromecast plugged into it?I have a smart tv and would like to stream a movie or tv show to another tv in another room that I would hook the Chromecast into. Would the Chromecast work this way? We have cable and think it would work as long as I left the smart tv on while I played the dvr cable program and it was going through the tv, just like as if I was stream a dvd from a blue ray in another room via wifi? Would this work?
