QuestionDoes this printer have dual paper trays? One for 8.5"x11" and 11"x17"? Or do I have to continue to change out paper trays or buy an extra paper tray?

- Answer Yes, this printer came with dual paper trays. I have loaded 8.5x11" paper in Tray 1 (upper tray) and 11"x17" paper in Tray 2 (bottom tray) and have printed documents from each tray. This is a great feature. My previous two HP wide-format printers had only one tray, which required me to change out the paper when I needed to print different paper sizes.

- Answer No, you cannot sign up for the HP Instant Ink with this printer. It is very misleading having HP Instant Ink listed in the replenish your ink options right under the add to cart button. HP Instant Ink does not even list this printer on their website for availability.

QuestionTwo questions: 1) Is the LCD display easily visible if the printer isn't sitting at eye level and what are the dimensions of it? 2) Is there a separate photo paper tray? Guess that was three questions. Thank you

- Answer The display tilts up so you can see it from standing position if the printer is on a table, The display is about 3 inches across and 2 1/2 inches tall. There is no separate paper tray for photo paper. I was able to print 87 lb. card stock through tray 1 without any issues though if this helps.

- Answer For the X series or double ink the color and Black set up is about $100.00 for 3 color and 1 black cartridge. We use about $350.00 of ink a year -- but we print some 2,000+ plans at 11x17 and somewhere close to 5,000 pages at 8-1/2 x 11 not that expensive for the low volume ---

- Answer The scanner will accept 8.5" wide paper (both letter size and legal size) with the automatic feed on top. Also, paper up to B-size (11"x17") can be scanned by raising the cover and using the flat-bed scanner feature.

- Answer The HP OfficeJet Pr 7740 is a wide-print all-in-one. It prints, scans (USB or network), fax, and copy (black&white/color), if that is what you mean by 4-in-one. I bought it to replace a five yr old all-in-one HP that was starting to put lines on the copies and scans when run through the ADF. the 7740 prints up to 11 x 17 (which is why I bought it). It will scan 11 x 17 on the flat bed, but the ADF only does 8 1/2 wide so letter & legal for scans and copies using the ADF..

- Answer You can scan 11x17 on the flatbed scanner, but not through the document feeder. We don't have any printers that will accept 11x17 through the document feeder. However, you can print, copy and scan 11x17 with this printer if you don't use the document feeder.

- Answer I print mainly aerial photos using a lot of green, blue & yellow toner blends. However the rest is black on text documents. Set my computer settings to use 20% less toner, seldom setting for maximum/best quality. Generally, toner cartridges last me about 2 months for 500 to 800 assorted printing including photos. Quality photo.paper also helps on toner use.

- Answer Sorry about that, it is a little confusing. This printer accepts pages up to legal size through the ADF and does single-pass duplex scanning. Since it doesn't require two passes for duplex scanning, the media size specs are the same for both single-sided and double-sided scanning. Somebody must have entered specs for the wrong printer.

- Answer Yes it does scan 11x17, but only from the flatbed scanner. It is white and not silver.
