A:AnswerThanks for reaching out. Our JBL Bar 2.1 is a closed system so it'll only pair with its designated subwoofer. The subwoofer that is part of the Bar 3.1 can only be used with Bar 3.1.
A:AnswerAs long as you have 2 outlets (one for sub and one for bar), you are able to alone. You could either connect it via aux port or Bluetooth to your phone. I don’t think you can connect it to your existing sound system unless you get an aux splitter (phone/iPod—>aux splitter—>soundbar and car stereo)
A:AnswerThe recommended placement of the subwoofer would be having the unit stand up. The woofer on the sub if down-firing, and it could affect the bass audio quality if it were positioned differently.
A:AnswerIf you are asking if it has the sound link like many of the other JBL Bluetooth products do, the answer is no, but it does have Bluetooth.
If you want to run the same music through multiple sound bars, I have found that the Amazon Echo’s will connect via Bluetooth and my phone to multiple zones in my house.
A:AnswerThere’s not much you can do because this soundbar is unfortunately limited and very confusing. I find it to be just OK and not the best out there!! I wish I would have done a little more research before purchasing this item. Also, I can’t even figure out how to adjust different sound levels, including the treble!
