- Answer Yes - has 2 speeds high and low, and vents out of the top (in front of the cabinet. It can also be set up to vent through a duct outside of desored.

QuestionIs it normal for the light bulb to get very hot? Is there a different bulb we can replace with that doesn't get hot?

- Answer Thank you for your interest in the LG Microwave (MVEM1825F) model. The LG MVEM1825F microwave uses a 130V, 50W halogen bulb, which can get very hot during operation. If you find the bulb too hot and dim, you can consider replacing it with an LED bulb for cooler and more energy-efficient lighting. QuestionA couple of questions: 1) Is the light over the range (the "night light"), Halogen or LED, or ???? 2) The clock is backlit. Is the rest of the control panel backlit as well? 3) How loud is the microwave when in use?

- Answer I believe the night light over the range is LED . The control panel is not backlit. In regards to the sound, I could only compare with my previous one. It’s much quieter! Hope this helps..

- Answer The exhaust fan noise is much lower than my last over the range microwave. We have open space living and the fan noise is not intrusive in conversations with family or guests. Great Microwave and excellent service by Best Buy.

QuestionMy old microwave, the vent fan came on automatically when you pressed start. The LG the vent fan does not come on unless you press the command to do so but this seems odd. Do i need to use the vent fan every time I use the microwave?

- Answer The vent is not required every time you use the microwave. (I have never had one that actually came on automatically in the 7-8 I have owned in my life) The purpose of the vent is to act like a range hood vent since these are installed in lieu of a traditional range hood to vent the smoke from range top cooking. The vent does not have anything to do with the microwave cooking function.
