Q: QuestionCan I replace the usb receiver in my mk295 mouse and keyboard combo and If so what one do I use as I have tried everywhere as I have lost my usb

The USB receiver from the MK295 Wireless Membrane Keyboard and Mouse Bundle isn't sold by itself unfortunately, but you do have a 2-year warranty on the Bundle with Logitech, so I would suggest possibly reaching out to the Logitech Customer Support so see if this is something they might have as spare parts by going to the product page and clicking Support: https://www.logitech.com/en-us/products/combos/mk295-keyboard-mouse-combo.920-009782.html

Q: QuestionDo you have to hit the keys firmly to type? Are the keys stiff?

• A:Answer You don't have to hit the keys that firmly to type, but you do have to depress them all the way down. To me, there's a very satisfying "clicky-ness" to the keys, and I find the action crisp and responsive. If you like typing on keyboards like the Apple Magic Keyboard, this will feel a little stiffer. Not as stiff as those old-school keyboards from the earlier days of computers, but definitely more firm than the nearly-flat keyboards of Mac-world.

• A:Answer Hello. Both the MK295 and M330 come with a nano receiver that is not unifying. The receiver will only work with the products it comes with.

Q: QuestionLogitech once stated that this MK295 set is encrypted, but in a separate post they state it does not support AES. Which is it? Is the wireless connection encrypted or not?

Logitech's Advanced 2.4 GHz provides 128-bit AES encryption between keyboard and receiver. Now with our newer products launching and including the latest Logi Bolt Receiver, you're getting even more protection. Logi Bolt is engineered with Bluetooth security mode 1, level 4 (also known as Secure Connection Only mode), which is Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)* compliant. That means Logi Bolt enforces security by means of encryption. Q: QuestionI've had problems in the past connecting the unifying receiver to a USB hub, which I found to be really annoying, especially since newer laptops seem to have less USB ports than older ones. Does this receiver work with USB hubs?

• A:Answer Your answer makes no mention of a USB hub. Although it seems like you are saying not only will I need to use a USB plug for this keyboard but if I want to keep using my current USB mouse I have to use separate USB plugs for each. Not optimal.

Q: QuestionDoes the MK295 have a light indicator to indicate if the Num Lock and Caps Lock are engaged??

• A:Answer Both of the other answers (strangely enough, even the one from Logitech) are inaccurate. There IS a Caplock indicator on the keyboard (an "A" symbol that lights up next to the on-off switch in the upper right of the keyboard), and there IS a NumLock indicator onscreen in or near the systems tray in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Both indicators are ONLY operational when the device is actively connected through the USB receiver; You will not see the indicators (on the keyboard or onscreen) if the PC you are using is off, even if the keyboard itself is in the on position; The indicators only show when actively using the device (I assume this is a smart power saving measure).
