A:AnswerThanks so much for asking, Noel! If you wish to use the ice maker in this model, a water line connection will be required. However, if you do not have a water line connected, you will need to turn the ice maker off using the control panel. ^Jecca
A:AnswerWe just had a service call about this very thing and 2 other issues. You can turn off the ice maker, but you have to do it from inside the refrigerator on the right control panel. To have to think ahead and do that every time you open the freezer would just be silly. We tried to get the service person to admit it was a design flaw, but he insisted it was "normal". Sorry, that is not normal
