Good news for existing Verizon customers: You’ll still be able to get discounted phones for $100 or $200 by renewing a two-year service contract. Verizon clarified its policy in an email on Tuesday. As long as you stay with the current plan, you can upgrade at a discount. So if you were anticipating a new model from Apple or Samsung, you can wait until those phones come out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yep... just did a 2 year contract with Verizon at Best Buy with a Note 5.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Verizon is no longer offering subsidized pricing for new customers. Some existing customers ARE still eligible however, depending on their current plan. Best buy abides by the same rules as any authorized Verizon dealer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Verizon has done away with contracts. Unless you are grandfathered into an existing contract then you no longer have the two year option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It seems that existing customers can still do 2 year contacts.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My wife upgraded to the Galaxy Note 5 and was able to sign up for a two program. If you are upgrading from a Verizon Edge contract like I had, you don't have the option for the two year contract. It is unnecessarily confusing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. But the Samsung warranty is only ONE YEAR but the contract are for TWO unless you could buy outright at over $1000 and still they expect it to only last one year. So next year you have to go out of pocket and seek replacement. ONE YEAR expected life of the phone but stuck two years in contract. Soon only 6 months if Samsung gets their way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and no. If you have an exciting contract you can keep it, or switch over to the new one, same money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Verizon did get rid their 2 year contracts but you can still get a phone and service through Verizon with very little money down for the phone and the monthly bill not changing that much. Instead of having the phone strictly tied to the plan, it is now separate. You can choose to buy the phone with one payment or pay for it over 24 months which is just added to the service plan. So nothing much has changed ... they just tried to make things simpler. Go to Best Buy or Verizon and ask them to calculate how much it will cost you per month to get a clear picture.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought my phone at Best Buy and got a 2 year contract through Verizon Edge so that I could pay for my phone in monthly installments to 2 yrs.
