A:Answer If you are asking if you can view 1080p content on this monitor, then yes, it does seem to scale. At least it worked fine when I forced 1920x1080 resolution onto it via my PC. However I dont think there is any post processing to make your 1080p signal "fake 4k". To me it still looks like a 1080p signal, on a bigger screen. Typically TVs with upscaling creates a slight bit of output lag, due to the extra processing. This is fine for movies etc. But is not something you want for a PC/Gaming monitor. Having 3-10ms of lag can ruin a competitive multiplayer experience, so I don't think you'll find many monitors that do this. Its technology designed for the living room where you have a lot of devices (DVDs, Bluerays, game consoles) that only output to 1080p, and you want some use out of your 4k tv, where lag doesn't matter as much.
