- Answer I installed this hard drive on an HP computer that is 4 years old. No problems encountered with either the installation or performance. My installation was as a replacement drive; so I don't know how it would perform if installed as a second hard drive

- Answer No, I would not go any larger then a 500Gb, BIOS may not see 1gB hard drive.

- Answer If the box says two Years that means two years. Some of them has up to 5 years warranty. So you have always double check it.

- Answer This is an external drive. You must have a primary drive in any computer to boot the operating system. Just in case there is any confusion; "you cannot boot from an external drive".

- Answer Most drives are very durable. People will pick up thier system with the hard drive spinning. If the head starts to bounce you crash your platters. Always shut system off before you move.

- Answer This is an old question but maybe someone could still benefit from a response. I am sure the PS3 uses a 2.5 inch drive. This is a 3.5 inch drive. If you are still uncertain, open up your box and look at the drive, and the connectors plugged in to it. Then use a search engine for images of "2.5 SATA" and "SATA cable" and the like and I think you'll know for certain. You might also remove the current drive and bring it in to Best Buy and I'm sure they would steer you correctly. I am just trying to be helpful; I don't have one of my own so I'm not an authority on these matters.

- Answer No. This is an internal Desktop drive. You need a 3.5 inch laptop hard drive or an ssd.

- Answer This should be as easy a plug-n-play. I have replaced many harddrives in Dell computers with similar drives from Seagate. I have yet to have any type of issues, conflicts, or incompatibility.

QuestionWill this hard drive work with an 18 month old HP desktop computer with a build ID?I have an 18-month old HP Pavillion with a 1TB Western Digital Caviar Green hard drive that came with it and just failed. HP support said that all their computers have a build ID that is on almost all the internal hardware, including the hard drive. They would not guarantee that any other hard drive I didn't buy from them would work. I think they're blowing smoke, but I wanted to check to see if anyone has every dealt with this. Thanks!

- Answer You will probably need an adapter to fit the hard drive because the connection ends are different if you have an old computer, but functionality should be OK.
