• I have a new Marantz SR6009. With this system, the HDMI pass through provides a video signal to the TV when the AV is turned off. I would assume all Pass Through systems work the same

• Yes it does. The only thing with passthrough is that the receiver needs to be in the correct input mode for it to work before you turn the receiver off.

• the whole point of HDMI is that its a one cable solution...HDMI stands for high definition multimedia interface..audio and video. It needs to be on to work though
