• A:Answer This unit only takes a 1U space. If you bought a 6U rack, then you would have 5U space left over. I bought a 6U rack and put a few otther items in the rack and have tons a space left over.

Q: QuestionUnder specifications, this item states it has 24 PoE ports, but according to the manufacturer, this model does not provide PoE to any ports. Which is it? I've ordered and nowhere on the box does it state anything about PoE.

• A:Answer JB Thank you for reaching out and pointing this out to us. We will work with Best Buy to correct this error. The TL-SG1024D is not POE compatible. The highest port switch we currently offer in our unmanaged switch line with PoE is the 16-port TL-SG1218MP

Q: QuestionIs this switch compatible with the tp-link BE85 wired backhaul? My current managed switch of another brand does not, at least without changing a lot of settings that I am unfamiliar with, so I would prefer something plug and play.

• A:Answer Hi! The TL-SG1024D can provide Gigabit Ethernet to up to 24 connections, including to Wireless Access Points. However, if you are looking for an Ethernet switch that also provides Power over Ethernet (PoE) to your WAPs, then we would recommend one of our Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ switches, since the Ruckus switch you referenced specifically uses PoE+.

Q: QuestionDId anyone have issues with the switch not getting an IP address? I'm trying to use both the TP-LInk easy configuration utility and just trying to get to the web UI but nothing is working. Did anyone have something similar?
