A:Answer There is a test that Microsoft has to see whether a specific PC can be upgraded to Win 11. Google "Windows 11 upgrade for my pc" and you should be able to find it. There might also be an older test for Win 10; Google the above and substitute "10" for "11". Same for Win 8 (Win 8.1 would be a better choice). No upgrade, however, would need this drive, unless your old Acer has a HDD with somewhere near this much worth of files--unlikely, unless you have multiple HDDs. Upgrading is NOT recommended, however, if, as you say, you are not computer literate, unless it is a matter of lack of money and you are willing to put in the time to learn what to do. For the price of this drive, you can get a PC, desktop or laptop that will blow your old Acer out of the water (again, unless it was a super-performing device when you originally obtained it).
