I think most folks looking at a brand like Razer understand what the value proposition is here; Razer builds premium productivity and gaming laptops that weigh a healthy dose of style with a good dash of substance in a package reminiscent of Apple's MacBook Pro (with better upgradability and I/O to boot). Razer products wear a price tag to match - I guarantee you will find less pricey contenders with equal or better hardware. Quote me on that. But if that were all that mattered, we wouldn't be here. This laptop is fantastic - the kind of fantastic that I would say is absolutely worth your hard-earned dough. The build and materials quality is second to none. The finishes are sleek, and nothing ever feels sub-par. Niceties include a brilliant, bright, fast, and smooth display, one of the best chicklet keyboards I've the pleasure of typing on (and as someone that writes for a number of hobbies and Master's studies, that means something), a trackpad that comes within margins of Dell and Apple's best, surprisingly robust speaker performance, ample cooling (even without the vapor chamber solutions of the higher-tier models), and a dang good kick from that hexa-core i7 and RTX 2060. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention this little unit has been able to power my beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro (250 Ω) cans exceptionally well, without discrete amplification! Now, time for an admission; I didn't purchase this with the intent to game - I already have a PC for that - instead, this is replacing my workhorse 2013 Dell Precision M4700, an outrageous mobile workstation that featured insane Intel Core i7 Extreme 3940XM and nVidia Quadro K2000M performance back in its day. Coming from something of that class, you can understand how high my praise for this Razer is - this Blade is seriously fast and seriously nice. With how pleasant this has been to use, I may very well consider giving Remedy's Control, CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077, and a couple other heavy titles a good run and see how it stacks up, but I think it's safe to say there's more than adequate oomph to give you an overkill experience in 99% of use cases. At the end of the day, you will not regret buying one! Whether you're looking for a powerhouse gaming machine, a workstation or creator-class laptop to handle 3D modeling, CAD work, advanced compositing, and rendering, or just something really nice (and overpowered) to use as a fancy word processor and Internet browsing machine for the next decade, this'll do the trick!
