    So far AMAZING

This printer is AMAZING! I’m so pleased with this purchase for my classroom. I considered several others including Epson and HP, but went with the Brother because I have a Brother laser printer at home and use the ink refresh program The printer speed is good. The colors are vibrant. (I have not used it to print photos—mostly class work, and certificates). The paper try is a bit flimsy, but does what it’s supposed to do. I love the double-sided printing. If you need to use it for double-sided copying it’s doable once you figure out which way to put the printed side in the paper tray. I use the printer almost daily, and my ink levels are still above the halfway mark. I hope the ink lasts until the end of the school year. Fingers crossed!

Two Year Review- I still have ink from when I bought it! Yep you read right. Now mind you I don’t use mine daily. However I can say that had a normal ink jet been in its place; the ink would have evaporated or dried up. Thanks to this baby I can save tons, I means tons of money! Not only is it a money saver but you get a really awesome solid scanner and to feed tray for copies. I love this investment more than others. The best reason to invest in this Brother is due to it never has and probably never will malfunction. The Brother company keeps the firmware and software updated on the website and make it easy to find. It’s super super easy to set up and the machine really takes care of all updates and the engineering of this brother printer is just perfect. This will be a printer that can, and will last for 10 or more years.

Was looking for a low cost but solid Multifunction to replace my second Canon Pixma that died. Super happy with this purchase. Tons of features to simplify house wide printing, scanning needs. Lightning fast printing and great quality. Only annoyance is having to remember the admin pw to take firmware updates that the printer will not let you forget about. For the best, as keeping firmware updated is one of the pros of this printers.

low cost printer with feeder problems

This is a low priced inkjet from Brother and I am pretty happy with the drivers and quality of the print. It is fast on "normal" quality and slow on "best" quality but I do not need to switch to this mode very often. I like the color and have been happy printing. The scanner drivers time out pretty regularly after a few months and I am looking into possible storage errors with my PC. perhaps it is a local folder error? However, the feeder is very poor and I should mark this as a low star but because of the price of the equipment I am saying it is average. The feeder runs fine as it appears however it causes "error message" failure when scanning. Has gotten progressively worse after owning this for three months already looking at overhauling the feeder? I don't like that.

Brother never disappoints. I have bought an HP, but for the price they were giving me the bare minimum. You get all the bells and whistles: a feeder for copies and scanning, a fax machine. The set up was a bit long, but it was well worth it. The app works wonderfully well for both my computer and phone.

Setup was a bit challenging - multiple passwords (printer default, WiFi) and it wasn’t always clear which one was needed. Inputting passwords is tedious. But the printer seems to work great so far, and as others have observed it’s very quick to start. AirPrint also seamless. Haven’t used other functions yet.

It was so hard to find a reliable, easy to use printer. This printer has been nothing but great since installation. Stays connected, prints, scans, and emails easily! The only thing is, it sounds aggressive when it grabs that first sheet of paper to print. Other than that, it’s been perfect.

Worst printer ever. Started with paper jam after about 3 months of using. I am very nominal user, print about 2-3 pages a week. Had the most frustrating experience with this printer after about 1yr as it was programmed. For Every print now, I have to remove the jam and also clean the printing nozzle or I would just get blank sheets. I could not believe Brother makes such poor printers. Best Buy should stop selling this printer.

Not overly impressed. Set up took me several hours because instructions are poorly written. Getting my secured network information to sync wasn’t a smooth process either, & it drops the connection frequently. I had too downloading two Brother apps to use the wireless features & it drops my network frequently. The printing is NOT as clear or sharp as my last inkjet from HP. I was looking for a printer that had less of an environment impact and more affordable ink.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. The touch screen is 1" sq. No way to use it, especially no way to enter a # wi-fi pw! TI wasted 2 HOURS on the phone to Best Buy's Geek squad. Still couldn't get Wi-fi to work! I had to buy a USB cable bc Best Buy wouldn't take it back. To make matters worse, Brother's "support" is non-existent

Worked well for several months, then print quality declined but was still readable. After 13 months from purchase it didn't print well enough even for draft copies. Thinking that maybe the problem was "old" ink, I replaced the ink cartridges. Nope, still not printing. I did all the tests and adjustments recommended by Brother. Still no good. I've attached the Adjustment Sheet after running fixes. First Brother printer lasted 6 yrs. Next Brother printer lasted 4 yrs. This Brother printer lasted 13 mths. I see a trend here.

Can’t go wrong with a Brother printer. As always it’s quality and easy to use. Printer is very quick with not color and grayscale. The cartridges that came with were great and no issues. Setup is very easy. Overall would recommend to anyone that needs a printer.
