    Great Pictures and Quality Output

I purchased this printer as an all-in-one solution because I like printing pictures and I also print a lot of worksheets for my teacher wife. The main reason I bought this printer was because of the large ink tanks. I am tired of buying expensive cartridges that only last a month. When you spend $80 a month on ink, that is crazy. Granted, you are paying up front for this printer but given the fact that the ink bottles are about $15 and can last upwards of 3,000 pictures - I think I will be better off. Anyway, here are the highlights after a week: - Great 4"x6" prints - Good quality type output like worksheets - Easy fill tanks and they are keyed so that you can't put the wrong ink in the wrong tank - Scanned documents are good Cons -------------- - Slow photo printing on 4"x6" prints (over 1 minute on best quality) - Slow document printing - Terribly small printer screen and hard to read menu Time will tell how durable this printer is but so far I am happy with the output. Setup was easy but long and I wish it had 2 separate paper trays but it doesn't. All things considered, I would buy it again because I like the quality.

I bought this to print off some photos that I was taking when I was more active in photography and I wanted something that would be good for lots of prints in a cost effective manner. I figured the ink tanks would work well for that and I was right. It produces pretty high quality images and is very good with ink management. I had this for several years and I'm still on the original ink supply and I have produced a lot of heavy coverage full size images without issue. I even recently went to use it after it sat for almost year without any kind of use and I had an issue with the black print head not working and just running the maintenance that is on the machine was able to unclog the nozzle and get it back up to working order in under a half hour. The only downside is that it isn't quite super high quality in that it is not 1200dpi but it not far off in quality. I work in the print industry and this matches color and quality with some professional toner devices.

I was looking for a printer that would produce a quality photo. I was amazed at how good the photos look. I print most black and white with grayscale which is more than adequate and wastes less ink. My main complaint is that it is the slowest printer at printing that I have ever had.

Provides excellent quality photo prints at a fraction of the cost of other printers. Canon, being also a camera maker, does give us better photo printers than any other printer manufacturer. In addition, canon has a service facility in the LA area, and it is convenient for me to drop by in case my Canon camera or printers need service.

So far, all the prints are looking great. Awesome print clarity, the details are there and the colors pop. Make sure to use premium paper for better prints.

Real ink is different. Seems OK but difficult to find and re-order. No paper cassette is a con. Stuffing paper in the rear sheet feeder is a pain. Explanation of printere and its properties not very clear of concise. If I had it to do again, I would not get this printer. My fault for not doing better research. The "pros" ar that the photo printer quality is excellent.

Printer is really convenient. Photo quality is great, price per print is great, and the ease of use is really a nice selling point. The phone app makes it very easy to pick a photo on my phone and print it in seconds.

The color and print quality are amazing. I use this printer for making stickers and it does a great job so far. The price is great for a 6 color printer. The screen is small and takes some time to get use to but is not a deal breaker since most printing is done through your devices. The Paper feeder is a bit awkward and bends paper left on. I usually load as I print to avoid this.

Very solid Photo Printer thus far. Lots of options for paper and ink. Has a basic scanner on it, it does work for some things, but this machine is not document focused. It is a slow photo printer, but it does a great job for it's size. The photo quality is outstanding at the price point, and print cost is very nice compared to other models.

I love this printer! It’s easy on ink and prints photos well. I only gave it 4 stars because I was unable to install it wirelessly, it is hard wired to my pc. The other thing is the screen is so small and dark, I keep a flashlight near to read it.

I like the inexpensive ink tanks. It prints well. The only drawback is that it doesn't do automatic double sided printing. However, doing double sided isn't all that difficult. For multiple pages, it prints every other page, so you can flip the whole stack over to do the other side.

I'm really happy with my photo printer... Head and shoulders above a different printer that I bought and tested and returned... This printer has excellent photo print quality, with the colors printing close to a perfect match with what I see on the computer screen. I'm really, really happy, and as an former photo art student, it's a little hard to make me happy.

My first Canon printer turned out better than HP

Great colors, lots of print options, helpful online tutorials and guides. Have owned HP and Canon printers, and the Canon has been far more reliable, especially with reloading ink. HP replacement ink can be a hassle, and HP printers can sometimes reject non-HP refill cartridges from online resellers.

I've tried a few different brands over the years, and while this Canon is missing a few features for the price it's still a great printer. The setup is easy, and it prints great photos. It's very nice to have an easy refill ink tank, where you know exactly how much ink you're getting and how much you have left. The LCD screen on it is basic, easy enough to use but for the price I would have at least liked something larger with a backlight. I would say overall it's a great entry photo printer for simple things, like if you're planning on printing smaller pictures for home, custom invitations, post cards etc.
