Advise to anyone taking your apple products or any device in for repair.
Save yourself the aggravation and time.
The lie to lure you in, I scheduled the repair on IPhone a week in advance to give plenty of time to order the parts and they wanted to keep my phone for 3 days for the repair.
Also, they tried to changer (steal) my card $300.00.
Avoid them at all cost, they don’t have honest business practices.

Paying Geek Squad is useless if you ever need it. They'll send you a replacement device broken and will charge you, claiming the damage was your fault. Additionally, the customer service is horrendous. I had to call them a many times and there`s always a problem with the system. They sent 2 devices which was already defective. Now I have a garbage cell phone that is now working properly and they are asking me to send it again pay a $700 security deposit to give me another one. I lost so many hours trying to solve the problem and nothing. RUN AWAY!!!

Was sent here for phone battery replacement, took over an hour for paperwork. Then broke my phone and had to send off for a replacement (and employee was rude). It's been 3 weeks now and still no call that it's in (it's 45 min. drive so I can't just drop in) and no cell phone. You can't call the location direct and no one at customer service can tell me if it's in. Also charged me $75 for battery replacement and won't refund. We were going to get my husband's done at the same time and had paid but since they messed mine up we backed out. Still no refund so I had to dispute through my credit card company. I've been on the phone and chat with customer service at least 3 times just today (20-30 min each) and still no one that can tell me if the phone is in or give a refund for services that were never completed. Their excuse was that I should be happy I was getting a new phone....(but my phone was fine, didn't need a new phone). Worst decision ever.

WARNING. do not use Geek Squad. They are the worst! They came to install a frame TV and did not know what they were doing resulting in a disaster. When I asked them to fix it they responded " we are only responsible to hang it". Wires are handing from tv, the tv is crooked and leaning away from the wall.

The coordination for installation and haul way is awful. The haul arrived but the installation was not done and they could not take away the old appliance. Total lack of respect with the time customers. Please do it better than you are doing because we pay for the service.

high quality of service if you can wait forever. Reported a problem which resulted from installing Webroot. Was given an appointment for three days later. Mind you, the so called appointment is to drop off the PC. once dropped, and three days later still, no computer. It is too bad because online, you wait a little and the issue gets resolved within four hours. But taking the computer to a Best Buy repairs is bad. this will be my last year with Geek Squad. Swithing to an Apple.

Geekeek Squad is by far the most agonizing service I have spent hours and hours trying to get service only to find that they have caused another problem. When they can't fix remotely, they want to send at a tech to your home for $99.09 even though I have the Geek Squad contract. I coud write a book about h ow bad service is remotely and in the store. I will not be renewing again. I don't have enough life time left to spend hours on the phone only to find out my equipment still doen't function as it should.

Very dissatisfied with service - agent came out and could not complete service, received call and scheduled follow up, on day of service, agent called to discuss issue and said he would have some else call me I have tried 4 times to reach person on phone to reschedule but have not had any success.
Will find someone else to assist with technical problems!

Marketing Gimmick; Not Worth Time or Money

I cannot recommend to anyone to ever give their PC diagnostic services any chances since they have handed built computers back to me in pieces. Done sloppy work and even forgotten to plug in wires to an AIO that almost melted down a $3,000 build with parts bought from them.
Further when I asked for a moment to speak with a Geek to make sure I was picking the right parts counter help acted like gate keepers. I ended up choosing the wrong parts.
Please don't trust counter help they helped me select a $600 processor that had a meltdown four months later (Intel i14900k). Same person would not let me ask questions, seek help about verbage for RMA to Intel and even cut off my ability to buy a replacement just to get by when college started the next day.
As an added bonus that Associate called me names and ganged up with hisanager on me. Not nice to do to a young woman. I never got a refund for my Total Tech they cancelled.
Their automotive side does however does actually do decent work and has installed a few things. While their Total Tech package no longer includes free auto installs it was nice while it lasted.
Not all stores are horrible just ones in Kentucky in particular.

Bad experience with my Mac Book Pro

My Mac Book Pro could not be repaired at the store so it had to be sent out. I was told it would take 7 to 10 days to get an estimate.
I dropped it off and it was shipped to a repair facility on July 22, it was received there on July 24.
August 11 I received notice that they would be looking at it soon.
August 20 I was told they needed additional information
So Best Buy had the unit for 27 days and did nothing! Then they didn't have any interest to try and help me fix the problem other then someone on the phone reading a script.
August 21 I supplied the additional information
August 21 I was told the additional information was not successful
August 22 I again attempted to resolve the problem
August 25 My efforts were not successful
August 26 I was told I had one day to respond or they will ship the computer back to me
So for 27 days the unit was at Best Buy with nothing being done with it. But because I didn't respond in one day they tell me they are going to send it back. Oh, and by the way. There was a hurricane threatening Houston at the time.
I won't make that mistake again.

Never again will I buy from Best Buy. I purchased a range and was given a Saturday delivery between 3pm and 7pm. I stayed home on a saturday night and waited, I Called at 6 pm for an update and was told they had 1 more stop before me. By 8;30 no one had showed up and not even the courtesy of a phone call! I called them Monday morning and after waiting an hour I finally reached someone. They were useless. I am on my way to buy the same range at the same place from Home Depot. No more best buy from me.

Installation services for my TV was not carried out by Geek Squad employees, but third party contractors. My past experiences with actual Geek Squad employees has been great. Third party contractors were a diaster. They could not set up the TV. I had to insist they stay and figure it out. They wanted to leave me with an inoperable TV. I had specifically told Geek Squad customer service to NOT send contractors. They ignored me. Why am I paying for this service. Sent a complaint to customer service. Ignored. Geek Squad is why I shop at Best Buy for major tech purchases. Or shall I say, why I formally shopped at Best Bug.

Computer geeks were supposed to be here between 10-2. It’s now 3:55 an no one has shown up or sent a message. Geeks phone number provided and he didn’t answer. Speaking with outsourced customer service from SOUTH EAST ASIA is ridiculous. Reading these reviews, I will never purchase from Best Buy.

Id give a zero for the number of times and the co tunuous BS and lack of jnowlsdge. I know more about my old laptop than these children. I gor a new laptop and new harddrive and they still managed to delete crap and make it worse..now itunes cannot even be installed. I had it installed on c drive but they said they moved rhe crap to the new installed harderive but the program was under C and cannot be moved. I uninstalled and gues what no music transfer between the deives. They said they dodnt know squat about itines. All 4 kids. Amd, it was true but the guy told my husband they knew what to do. Amd he screwed it up. My laptop was new and no glotches. Sknce he " popped it in" the comouter freezes installs are not connecting to itunes at all and cannot be read. I called apply and rhey said soem part pf install by these kids wasnt installed cprrectly as shu shouldnt have to have 2 dofferent drives. Its messy. And muaic cannot be transferred to a doffowrent driv we and prgram in another. If u arent qualified for ur job why i are tampering with it?
They also said the laptop hardware i wanted jnstalled dodnt fit. I called and spoke to best buy who recpmmended it fpr my laptop but ripped my husbamd off for spemthing twice the already expensive price. The annual service is needed for as many times as ive brought it in for teh dame issie. Ive lost my voice or id chew them out.

Geek Squad is a scam offered by Best Buy to squeeze money without providing good service. If I could provide a negative eview I would. Geek Squad offers nice words when they are signing you up and taking your money but when it comes time to provide the service, they have only excuses and rediculous timeframes to fix the problem(s). The number of negative reviews should alert you to how bad this service is and how little Best Buy cares. I don't know if other stores are different but the folks in Leominster should move on, as this assignment is really not working for them or anyone else.

PC Windows Issue, Remained an Issue

Came there for a boot-loop issue, did not fix the actual cause of the issue, activating Windows issue. Customer service let me know that they did not get a new Windows on the PC. Do not recommend, they let the computer rot for 3 days and gave it back. Only a money grab for their diagnostics. They were also supposed to do a dust clean, which they did not, promised that it would be like new. I have to drive this PC back for them to actually do their job.

Vizio TV repair: it's been 3 weeks and I still have no update. I have called the store multiple times but they have the phones forwarded to the 'National Team' and each person I have talked with (4) tell me to go to the store to get an update. The extra cost to pay for the Geek Squad coverage would have been better spent toward a new TV. Unacceptable customer service.

No help in replacing faulty equipment

We paid $2K for a high performance Starlink System to be delivered and installed. The installing technician said that hardware was faulty so I'm not getting signal. It's been weeks. We call/email/chat nearly every day - no resolution. We've been told 1) it's under review, 2) you uninstall the system (even though we paid for delivery and installation) and bring it back to Best Buy (1 1/2 hour drive each way and the receiver is on the roof [I'm 72]). and 3) we don't have a replacement in our system. Very very frustrating.

I bought a tv, tv mount, and other accessories and scheduled an appointment to get it all installed today. Got messages that they would be here initially between 7am and 7 pm. Then yesterday I received a text that the window was from 1-4pm. At 3:47, I started a chat with Geek Squad to get an eta on the installer. Person said they would be here between 1&5om. It’s 5:22pm and no call and no installer. Then I get a message from Best Buy saying that I need to schedule my appointment for installation. So I called and speak with a representative and they said we see no appointment scheduled for you at all. You need to schedule a new appointment. I have no idea what’s going on with this company but I wish I would’ve found a local handyman to do all of this work. Because I’m wasting my time waiting on geek squad and Best Buy to install this on the wall. I recommend just finding a local handyman instead of dealing with geek squad. And I’m still waiting on this TV to get mounted. SMH. For $299 it seems that they could get scheduling right and not have all these mishaps. Never again.

Got the premium membership to be able to go to geek squad for services. I took my laptop in to have a diagnostics and have it updated and more RAM added to it. Not only did it take longer than estimated by the agent, it was worse than when we took it in. Apps not opening, downloads not accessable. Agent laughed at my sense of urgency because it's vital to my work. You could say it was a bad luck situation but reading more reviews I find similarities with many others.
