The guy who scheduled my Best Buy service was phenomenal. However, the third party installer, Manata, fell short in every way. First, they called me the night before and said we were the first stop and they would be there between 7-8am. That time came and went and I called the company multiple times to see where the technician was at. No one provided a good answer. The technician arrived at 3pm. He was a younger guy who had no experience installing PoE cameras. He seemed stumped on how to install the cameras. He called his company and stated he was unable to install through the attic. When I asked how else he could install the Ethernet for the PoE cameras, he said he could run the cord across the dining room ceiling to the living area. I declined that option because I do not want Ethernet running across the ceiling. He said that was his only option and left. Found an electrician who offered to install my two cameras for $250. It was cheaper and knows how to run the cable through the attic. Overall, disappointed with Best Buy’s third party installer.

This was supposed to be installed by a hired company that Best Buy works with. The tech that came first (Brandon) was a very nice young man. The 2nd worker that came was (Steve) He was rude from the minute he came in my house. Not only was he very harsh to Brandon he was rude to me and my son. The guy to do the install didnt even have a flashlight. He told me to get my leashed small dogs out of the house. I paid $211.00 and the job was not completed. They just dropped everything as is and left. I am trying to get contact for the company so I can personally call them to complain. I think someone owes me 1/2 of the fee I was charged. I had a migraine from this Steve at one point he told Brandon he was leaving but came back and snapped more orders at poor Brandon. I don't know if I will ever shop at Best Buy do to the job being incomplete.

I bought some wired cameras to install with geek squad just to be told they don’t install those type of cameras. That would have to be a electrician. Wouldn’t they know that or tell you that before getting and paying for geek squad service? Very dissatisfied with that.

The installers were polite and professional when completing the job, and the cameras are working great. Unfortunately, the local installer that Best Buy contracted with cancelled my appointment twice - both times the day before the install was scheduled - requiring multiple phone calls and repeated rescheduling.

I purchased 2 Swann cameras. The install guys did a great job in concealing cables and setting up. But they were not too all familar with the Swann brand. But still they seemed very helpful in getting it set up correctly for our house.

Guys were very polite. They listened to me what I wanted and finished in time. They installed two cameras with concealed wiring. No hassle. They came exact day of appointment.

finally had knowledge that the geeks had no experience in installing security cameras. instead of installing the security box on the second floor it should have been installed on the first floor where the cameras are. my neighbor had more knowledge . you may be good at computers but never informed me that if they dont complete the job correctly iam still responsible to pay the bill. will not give you a good referral. ill definitely blog .it will definitely define my business with you.

I would not recommend The geek squad they did not stay with the schedule they did not call me on a Friday when they're supposed to show up when I took off time from work they did not I want to listen to what the store and I have already had scheduled and they kept changing the schedule and notify me through my email that's going to be on a working day when I could not take that time off from work and then they started calling me repeat of times throughout the day to pressure me into taking the time off on that day....they would not even recognize that they were in the wrong when they were the ones who kept breaking the schedule and then rescheduling without even letting me know what would be convenient for both of us

Thanks for uploading a review! However, the experience you have described sounds like a far cry from the one we intended. The point of scheduling an appointment is so that you can have proper notice, and can find a time-frame that best works with your schedule, so it hurts us to hear that the team kept rescheduling and pressuring you to take a day off that worked better for them. Can’t they never install the cameras and always had an excuse ,why they couldn’t install the cameras It’s been four weeks and still waiting.Maybe next month they may get it right!!!!!!!

I tried wifi cameras but they are not reliable at all (at least for me). I strongly recommend hard wired cameras. It’s a lot of work to install but it’s a small price to pay for the consistency and reliability that the camera provides

Not fair to be critical but the suggested recording unit was not compatible with the already installed hard wired cameras. The Geek squad guys worked very hard to make it work so no blame on them.

Reasonable priced camera. I did require the assistance of the Geek Squad to set it up. As usual, the Geek Squad does not disappoint!

I totally love Best Buy installation service for the products you buy with them. This service is free if you bundle with a product that matches. You can schedule the installation appointment while placing your order online and you can reschedule as per your need. The Geek Squad agents are so friendly and knowledgeable. They recommend best products for you and answer every question

It was expensive. They were here all day getting up into the hot attic to install my security cameras. I would not have been able to install them on my own. They were nice and helpful.

I spend a lot of time doing research for the security camaras system for my house, finally went to the store and the guy that help me did a great job so i bought the camaras and paid for the geek squad to come and do the job, but i get a 3rd party company and they call me and says that i need to get a wireless camaras cause I have a 2 story home , but my neighbors have a 2 story home and have a wire camaras , so i waisted a lot of time going to the store and waiting for the appointment to come and do the job and go back to returning the camaras , no a really happy
