I was back and forth about getting this, and I’m so glad I did! It is worth having over the app option on your phone. The tactile feeling of the buttons, and the several buttons available make productivity skyrocket; as long as you take the time to program everything you want into them. And the customization of the buttons, plus being be able to set wallpapers is just such a fun feature. You can benefit from this for streaming, or any work you do at home, including if you’re a student.

I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to write one for the Stream Deck XL. It is easily the best purchase I've made in years and in the few short weeks that I've had it, had saved me tons of time in my day-to-day computing tasks.
My understanding is that this device has a big following in the gaming and content creation communities. I belong to neither. I use it primarily to speed up everyday computing tasks and for use with Sibelius, a music notation and scoring program. It's brilliant!
It's intuitive, extremely easy to set up and use and from what I can tell, it's applications are almost limitless.
I considered getting the 15 key version and I'm sure I'd have been happy with that choice, but I opted for the 32 key version and am very glad I made that choice. Trust me... you'll find all sorts of uses for those extra keys!
If you're serious about wanting to work as efficiently as you can when using your computer for any of a million tasks, buy this device. You won't be sorry.

The best stream deck! I love how much control I have for my lives. It makes pretty much everything easier and gives me so many options for my ideas. Highly recommended.

Well-made, easy push-button macros. Love it. I crush presentations now. When a customer asks me to show them something in the middle of a pre-sales call, I click a button to open up the exact location of the application they want to talk about. They think I'm a wizard. When they have a particular question that I know they're gong to ask, I click a button to take me to the slide that covers it.

I thought this was mainly for streamers. If you aren’t you can still get tons of use from this device. There is so much you can do, the XL gives me more buttons and makes things much more of a breeze to use. This version has more support at the base and feels more solid. Overall happy with this and will save me so much time with my day to day operations. Grab one

The XL is so great for my live streaming along with its usefulness in my creative applications. Any macro/hotkey can pretty much be programmed to do what you want. If I had to do it over, I would have bought the XL and not the regular Stream Deck. Now I have both but it makes it easier to shift to another camera while still having control over my videos.

I owned the first edition of the original stream deck. It was fine but the software wasn't there yet and overall pretty buggy. Now though it's so.much better and I can easily recommend any of the stream decks.

I actually use this to replace using keyboard shortcuts when I’m writing music and it saves me a TON of time. Love how customizable it is and I now use it with a ton of other apps. Easy recommendation!

I am very pleased with the compatibility of this product. It does everything I wanted it to and I am not using it for streaming so it does have a lot of versatility if someone wants to use it for quicker shortcuts or other uses that aren't for streaming.
Only thing that took a while was to get everything i wanted set up. Other than that it was a great investment for me.

While it is confusing to see a 5 star rating with a 3 star or lower title there is a good reason for it.
The Stream Deck XL is great and i highly recommend it, it SHOULD NOT be your first Elgato Device.
Elgato came out with a new Stream Deck called the Stream Deck + and this is way more beneficial than both the Stream Deck and Stream Deck XL. The dials on the Stream Deck + allow for more actions than ever and it allows you to use both the Stream Deck software and their Wave Link software. Wave link allow you to sort all the audio in your PC to controllable sub mixes to be easier for both Streaming and Home/Personal use.
If you already have a Stream Deck + then get this! The uses it gives you are limitless and almost every update has something new that's worth fiddling with.

I upgraded from the MK.2 to this beast and it was a lifesaver. I'm constantly on my computer doing gaming, photo editing, drawing and everything in between. I like having more buttons than just 15 and it looks amazing on my desk.

After using the six button stream deck for almost two years now on Twitch, I decided it was time for an upgrade and man am I happy I did. If you're tired of going through folders to get to your next scene then I highly recommend the Stream Deck XL. Sure you could go with the fifteen button one, but you know what they say. Go big or go home!

Definitely overpriced just getting that out. But it is a cool item to add to your setup with many features. Definitely not necessary to buy if you don’t have other compatible technology that allows you to control for instance lighting. If you’re a streamer I do recommend you buy one.

I like this Elgato Stream Deck XL, it is large but very comfortable. I can add all my short cuts in one place for easy access. With one press of a button I can adjust audio levels and mute mics. I can adjust my Elgato Key Lights and control OBS for easy streaming. This is a must have device that gives you supreme creativity control.

This is a GREAT product!! Upgraded from the 15 key model so I could do more in a faster connecting environment while doing video conferring.. This device works with OBS and ZOOM quit well... Recommend to anyone looking for an easier & quicker to make presentations run smoother within their video conferencing format.

This is advertised as being a great tool for streamers and I am sure that's true, but it's also a great tool for anybody who uses complex software with a lot of keyboard shortcuts.
I use this for a few 3D applications and being able to create a subfolder where I can store a bunch of quick access shortcuts is fantastic.

It does what it’s supposed to do. I just haven’t spent enough time with it to know if I really need it. It’s definitely handy but it seems more like a gadget than a necessity. If you absolutely hate having to click a mouse to make selections than this is 100% for you, but if you don’t mind mouse clicking you may want to saveYour money. One things for sure, it wasn’t cheep.
