Best printer I have ever had. I have been a true fan of hp products, but I'm jumping ship,Epson Eco Tank is a game changer everything about Epson from set up to everyday use it's a joy to use, and you don't get those annoying request to sign up for auto ink with HP what a RIP OFF, if you've been on the fence back and forth about the initial investment, it's well worth it you won't regret it, maybe you can catch a Black Friday DEAL.

The Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5150 Wireless Printer is top of the line when it comes to home printers. It comes compact in a nice box where everything is packaged for protection, The instructions included for set up are easy to follow and understand, and within no time you are ready to start printing. This is the first ecotank printer I have ever owned, and I am impressed with how easy Epson has made filling and changing the ink, by taking the top off the bottle and clipping it into place to fill the ink tank there is no fear of any spilling. The ink indicators on the front of the printer are easy to read to know when they are full and also to know when it's time to refill. Setting up the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5150 Wireless Printer was almost too easy, The step-by-step instructions are a nice touch for even the non-tech savvy persons, a lot of the setup can be done from the LED screen right on the printer. The wireless connection is convenient for not having to worry about where in the house my computer and/or laptop are when it's time to print, making using this printer for work and home my number one choice. Even setting up the alignment was done in just a few quick steps, From opening up the box to printing it only took me about 20 minutes. A few fun pro's are that there is only one cord needed for power, if you have an android it has voice commands from your phone, and it only weighs 16 lbs so it's easy to pick up and move if you ever need to. Between those few things and the ease of setting up, this printer already looks great but now let's talk about performance!
I've been using this printer for a few days now, and I am so pleased with its performance, between working from home and being a busy mom to 4 young kids, I am always printing or copying something. I print out a lot of Graphs and Charts for work and with the vibrancy and sharpness of the Epson Ecotank Pro ET-5150 the lines do not get lost, So my associates and Clients can read them perfectly. For at-home use, my children are loving how colorful and bright their new chore charts are! On top of all the Pros for Printing there are also Pros for copying, starting with how easy and convenient changing over to copying is, it's literally just the touch of the button, it scans your page and copies in no time. Also, don't forget you can use the EcoTank Pro ET-5150 to scan any documents you have into your computer or mobile device. It truly is all-in-one! If you are in the market for a new printer for your home or office then I highly recommend giving this one a try, It truly does go above and beyond every expectation I have had and it is the best choice for printing regardless of what you are printing. Between the convenience of wireless printing, the ease of all in one, and the speed of completion for the Epson EcoTank Pro Et-5150 Wireless printer, you can get through with your work and back to enjoying the things in life that matter. I am so excited to continue using this printer with Work and Home!

Leaky Ink Tank

I was looking forward to getting this printer. I had gone through the setup process and filled all of the tanks with ink. After about 5 minutes the yellow ink started to leak out of the bottom of the printer. It continued to leak out until the yellow ink reservoir was empty. Needless to say it was a mess. I'm assuming this was a one-off manufacturing issue and have exchanged for the same model. Giving it one more try to see how it goes.

Excellent quality colorful prints
This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5150 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review When I received this printer I was really glad. I like the color quality prints this machine provides my business. The printing rate is phenomenal. I was able to print all of my employees timesheets in record time. I like all the different features this machine offers. The digital input screen is really easy to use. The buttons/instructions are prominently displayed making it easy for beginners to even use this machine. This machine was easy to set up although it’s quite large it actually fits well on my printer desk. The ink cartridges were easy to put in the machine and virtually mess free. Overall this all in one printer is a great buy well worth the price. I couldn’t be happier with this machine.

Little machine big punch

The set up of the printer took about 30 minutes. Not a big deal. This is the first time I have ever used an ecotank printer so I had a bit to learn about it. It was surprisingly light and fit perfectly on the corner of my desk. You have to individually fill each color which was easily done. The ink comes in these bottles that fit perfectly into the slits and there is no ink spillage. Once the tanks were full it took about five minutes to process through the printer. It was connected through a USB cable and once the driver was installed it was good to go.
I used the printer for a week and let me tell you this little machine does not disappoint. The instructions in the little screen are super easy to follow and have not had any issues with printing, scanning or copying. That's right, this printer does it all. No need to get any extra machines because this one does it. I will say that you should invest in good quality paper. No, it does not bleed through but the cheap paper feels kind of damp when it first comes out. Problem was solved with better quality paper. For someone that has used a laser printer for as long as I can remember this printer his really wowed me.

An Absolute Gem!

Wow! What can I say? I have essentially transitioned from a Ford Model T to a Tesla. This Epson EcoTank was super easy to set up in that I only needed to look at the manual for knowing how to fill the ink tanks, since it was a new concept to me. I must say I was a bit nervous, especially after having seen the obligatory “Be careful with handling as it will stain” message, but it was very simple with a twist of the cap and matching the shape of the bottle to line up with the same shape within the ink compartment.
As for my previous printer, it had decent print quality with respect to black + colors, but it really never reached the threshold of being this amazing machine with vibrant colors. The Epson EcoTank does just that. Printing multiple pages on the Epson is much quicker than my previous printer as well. The automatic two-sided printing is a positive as well, especially since my previous printer forced you to flip the paper over as a more manual input. Another advantage I have experienced a bit over the time I have been able to use this has been the cost over time. I do print quite a bit, so I had a subscription ink cartridge model with my previous printer. However, this Epson will end up saving me quite a bit of money over the long haul, particularly if there is any sort of lull in my printing periods.
In all, this EcoTank has a bigger tank and is more efficient and eco-friendly than any other printer I have had in the past. I would truly recommend this product to anyone and everyone. It works for business people who print more frequently as well as those who print at home who do not print as frequently. You not only get something that lasts in terms of how long it takes for the tanks to deplete, but you get a high quality product as well.

So, I was excited to try this printer. I tend to lean more towards Epson printers versus the other brands and this one did not disappoint. the start up disk was self explanatory and the program was easy to install. I love the fact that I can print from my phone if I’m elsewhere in the house and that the ink seems to last forever and so much more environmentally friendly where it holds more ink then those toss away cartridges.
The print quality is great...I tend to print quite a bit for work projects and it seems to print quickly. I didn’t come across any paper jams or anything, but if you did...everything is easily accessible. All In all I think you will like the printer and the benefit of ink savings.

The ET-5150 is an all-in-one printer that is ideal for high-volume print environments such as home businesses and small businesses. Set-up time is about 30 minutes, including the wireless capability and the nozzle check/alignment. The included paper instructions are detailed and the on-screen computer and printer instructions take any guesswork out of the installation process.
As far as the printing, the warm-up time is minimal, only a few seconds. I was able to print about 15-16 black/white pages per minute, 8-9 colored ppm, and 4-5 full-page color ppm. Printing is crisp and clean. Duplex printing takes slightly longer. The scanner function utilizes the Epson ScanSmart software, which allows you to select a computer connected to the printer network (via the on-screen display) and send the image wirelessly, eliminating the need for cables or flash drives. When your printer and computers are not in the same room, this is a necessity. You can also connect your phone to the printer via the Epson Smart Panel app to assist with wireless printing and scanning, maintenance, troubleshooting and to check ink level status. The ADF works flawlessly, allowing you to save time copying multiple pages.
By far my favorite feature of this printer is the ink. I have owned several colored inkjet printers and laser printers and the astronomical price of refills is discouraging. The ink costs on the EcoTank is not only a fraction of the cost of traditional ink/laser refills, but the ink capacity of this printer is about 3x my previous printers. This is a considerable cost-savings for those who print a lot, which we do. This printer fulfils all of our school and home business needs and I am thoroughly impressed with the quality and capabilities of this printer. Print quality is pretty darn good, but not great.
Set up was pretty easy.
The touch screen, though small, is easy to use.
Ink usage has been good, so far.
Make sure you have room around it, though, as back panel must come off if there is a paper jam.

The printer prints good quality and scans well which are the things I need. I was disappointed when unpacking it and felt how thin and cheap it felt. I do have a much older epson eco tank and it’s much more sturdy, but isn’t as fast and does not scan well so an upgrade was required. Also, I like the design of this (the way it looks) but realized right away that when printing the way it prints it’s hard to grab while working (I sit close to printer). This design is not ideal, I would probably opt for a standard style rather than this style of printer.

Was very easy to set up and the printing is fine. The tanks do seem to go down a little faster than expected. I do find the scanner better than some other printers in the same or higher price range I have had.
Overall though it seems to be a good printer.

We downsized form a large brother color laser printer and have loved this thing. Print quality is great. It’s slower than the laser obviously but that’s alright given it’s a much smaller footprint in our home office. Plus it’s cheaper to print on this thing. Love it.

Replacement for HP Laserjet M281fdw

I needed a new printer fast when my 3yo HP MFP M281fdw printer gave me an error message that a non-HP chip had been detected when I replaced the cyan cartridge. The kicker was that it was a genuine HP cartridge and that I had recently replaced the magenta and yellow cartridges (with no problem) which were purchased earlier than the cyan toner. Apparently HP sends out wireless updates to its printers with the latest being 20221010. When none of the internet solutions worked, I tried resetting to the original factory default values, but that just gave me a 49 service error, which completely disabled the printer. Needless to say, I am never buying another HP printer or toner cartridge.
Inkjet printers have improved greatly from what they were years ago. I purchased the Epson 5150 because I didn't need the fax function. Setup was completed in about 45 minutes and connected easily to both the PC's and Mac's in our household. Filling the ink tanks is easy and spill-proof. Love that you can visually monitor how much ink is left in the tanks and that it will be much less costly to replace the ink than a laserjet printer. Printing is a little slower than my old laserjet printer, but it's not enough to be an issue. Color print quality is better, because I'm not trying to eke out the last portions of color laserjet toners with suboptimal print quality anymore.

Overall this printer will get the job done. I’m only giving 4 stars because of the required account creation to unlock some of the features such as emailing a scan direct from printer or scanning to their cloud. You can work around this but it does make it a little bit of a pain. Also no double sided scanning/copying. You will have to copy one side and print that copy and shuffle all the pages in then copy one sided. Aside from those inconveniences, the printer works. On a side note, I use it for Macs, Pc’s, & iphones.

I bought this printer less than 2 years ago. It cannot sit without being used for more than 2 days without having to restart. Print speeds (if it will even print) slow down tremendously. The software and drivers are not up to current standards. The system checker application, if used, is of no help. The only plus about this printer is the ink. I wish they would come up with a better product to put it in. Now, the printer is out of warranty and it seems to have an internal error that does not read the paper correctly and gives a generic error code. Looks like I'm in the market for a new printer. It will not be an Epson.

I purchased this to replace the HP which died on me 2 years into ownership. Thankfully it was under the Geek Squad protection for a replacement or credit towards another printer.
I purchased this after meeting an Epsom rep in the BB store. I was enamored by the ecotank function and the idea of only refilling certain inks as needed and the ease of refills. I got the impression my printing costs should go down as opposed to the monthly HP subscription.
Setup was easy.
I must admit I am not impressed. The colors seem faded and not very bright. Printouts are not crisp. At first I thought is was the HP Office20 printer paper I purchased and used on the previous HP printer with a 92 brightness. Then I used Epsom Bright White 96 and these colors still seem dull.
For the money spent, I am disappointed.
