    Geek Squad far exceeds my expectations

    Can you make sure his manager gets this message? Its for the Riverhead geek squad store. The person who came to my home in Greenport to set up my computer was terrific. This was Sunday April 14th at 11 am. I forget his name but maybe you can figure it out. Great easy going personality and his expertise is very much appreciated. Very professional and has significant expertise. He asked me all the right questions including what do I use my computer for. He then set me up with all my short cuts. He told me all the ways I can help my computer have a long life including that I have 2 cats so I should vacuum the back of the tower every 2 weeks. He also let me know that I bought a really great suite of computer and components such as the computer itself, the screen, speakers and a disk player/burner. He made me feel confident about my purchase. I will never again go to another computer or media equipment store. Best Buy is the best!!

    The agent was not very thorough in investigating my computer issue. He seemed to be in a hurry, did not sound very empathetic about my concerns. My daughter was able to fix the issue instead.

    Excellent remote experience for Lenovo PC

    I had to speak to three different tech support members to resolve my issue but it was resolved within the day and my experience with each and every one of the support members was amazing. I've already told my friend who is having computer problems. It's so convenient to do this remotely. And you can have the conversation in real time while they're troubleshooting. Much prefer this to drop off service. Thanks Geek Squad

    I bought from Best Buy and had installed by the Geek Squad a sound system and back up camera in my Hummer H2. Christian and Jorge are by far the most competent auto sound techs I have had work on any of my autos over the years. They totally went above and beyond in doing the install . You would never know that my truck had a good part of the center dash out at the end of the install, very neat and tidy. Everything sounded and worked perfectly

    I was on the phone for 21/2 hr was told it would be fixed in 48-72 hr and nothing happened Called back after 72 hr and it was fixed in 1/2 hr

    Geek Squad corrected computer glitches.

    Weird things were happening with my computer, such as a reversed color scheme. After several tries to fix it and then other things going awry I contacted Geek Squad and received help from the person I connected with. She too eventually saw the computer was doing weird things and the corrections wouldn't hold. My case was then forwarded t another Geek Squad technician who worked on the computer and eventually corrected the problem. The service was great and I woiuldn't hestiate to contact Geek Squad again. I have used them in the past for problems and have always been satisfied.

    Don't bother calling Total Tech Support

    It's a wonderful total tech support service if you bring in your computer to a local store. The remote service, on the other hand, was a complete waste of time. The agents swiftly terminated the session without verifying that the issue was solved. After the third time, it leads me to believe that it is practice and not a mistake. I lost five hours of productivity and did not have the issue resolved at all.

    The two agents corrected important functions on the new desktop. A huge improvement, although there are still functions that are not working on Windows 11. Will keep working on it. The agents were very helpful and considerate and patient. Thank you.

    3 hours later and 40$ shorter. 7-10 for the refund

    spent 1 hour getting through to support, i specifically told them a game kept crashing. 40 minutes later i get an email saying its fixed. it was not, nothing had changed nor did he check if his "fix" worked. 1 hour later getting in touch with another call center that i could barely understand to get a refund. 7 -10 business days to get my money back. i have never left a review but the service was so bad i feel like i needed to.

    Messed Up Transaction

    This transaction was not the best and ended up messing up my main computer by uninstalling my other printers causing me to have to reinstall all of them again

    The remote service turned into an in-store service and I'm so glad it did. Aidan Dooly to the rescue again. I now have a Best Buy membership which pays off in many ways. A good investment for me. Thanks Aidan.

    Bad customer support with no expertise

    The service rep had no idea how to fix my problem. This was a complete waste of my time and money. He would not call me and talk to me; all done in chat. He messed up my browser and did not restore all my bookmarks. I had to reveal information that I did not want to as he fumbled his way through his process. His final solution was to contact Microsoft. Well, I contacted Microsoft, and their hotline said to start a chat, and their chatbot couldn't handle my problem--Outlook wouldn't launch because it was looking for a file. Finally, I keep looking at the error message and solved the problem myself. I called Geek Squad back a day or two later and asked for a refund. It was denied. This was truly a negative experience. I would rate zero stars, if you had that selection.

    An Infuriating Waste of Time and Money

    Waste of time. Representatives did not listen to me, rushed me through their paces without hearing my problem and treated me like an idiot. I went online looking for instructions for a BIOS update as I suspected mine was out of date, only to find it wasn't even the correct set-up. There was a discrepancy in the displayed "System Info" and what I should have displayed (even prior to installation). I explained my request, to have an agent confirm that my BIOS was out of date and/or not even the correct install and if this would explain some issues I was having, they refused to engage with me and rushed me to the site for a remote session--which I already had downloaded and already opened as per the automated instructions over the phone. I told her this, she brushed me off and walked me through the install for the exact same file again. They got me to a second agent and said I'd get a callback a minute later while they connected to my PC. I didn't, they connected anyway, let me know they were here, and before I could even type what my request/issue was he was interrupting my typing (and I'm not a slow typer either, 90+WPM) to run a system scan. When I asked him if he knew what my problem was, he was incorrect. The previous rep wasn't listening. All he did was run a system scan, change my preferred browser to Microsoft Edge, open Google, close it, open it again in Edge, and tell me I needed to take it in to a physical location for what I requested. Again, my request was to at the very least, at the VERY LEAST, confirm if I had the correct BIOS, if I needed to update it, and from there, walk me through installing the update I downloaded from the manufacturer's site. I had "System Info" and all computer specs in a .txt open for him once he signed on so he could see. After I told him this he proceeded to close my tabs and look up "System Info". Are these people paid by the hour or something? As soon as I saw him run another system scan, I cut off the session. Waste of time and money. Just garbage. I don't know what they did, who they fired, but my experiences in 2021, 2016, and 2014 were far more positive.

    Geek Squad was there for me

    The Geek Squad was very impressive and sensitive to my requiements. My only issue was I wanted to see which was better the Geek Membership or the single problem. I wanted to move into the membership but it was too late. They wouldn't let me upgrade without loosing the single issue. Other than that they have been wonderful.

    Waist of my time and money

    I have been trying to connect my monitor, camera, mouse, and dvd to my laptop for 8hours. The tech Shinika, I may be spelling the name wrong, but he go on my laptop and for 30 min did nothing, when I asked he started moving the mouse, he wanted me to use the notes on my laptop verses the chat, the made me very suspect something was going on, after waiting for 1 and a half for him the was movement, but he was pressing the same buttons and he asked for my password, which I denied him. After 2 and a half hours I began to ask him questions in the chat, he minimized the window, I thought maybe he was just not working and wanted to pretend he was working for the time, but more time passed so I asked "why can I not see what you are doing?", he ended our session with another done. I called back was on hold for 30 minutes the music stopped I said help, they sat there quite for 15 minutes, as I continued to say hello, then they disconnected the call, called back, and have been on hold for 2 hours and 9 minutes now. While on hold I thought I would try on line chat, the first virtual agent came on, once I stated what I need, disconnected the chat; so I tried again, once again the chat was disconnected. This the last agent (third time) asked me if I was in a session with a tech, I stated they disconnected me but the window was open, should I close it? I wanted for 22 minutes before I asked if she was still there, then she closed chat. I have my own business and need my devised up. I paid for this support believing I would get help. But I think I would do better with another service. I will be canceling this service and getting my money back. Horrible!!!!!!!!!!
