Tech set up my TV and removed my old set. He took the time to hook up both my outdoor antenna and then the Mohu antenna for comparison. We decided the outdoor antenna brought in all the channels the Mohu did without having to run a long cord across the room. He placed the Mohu back in the box and said I could return it. My old set was heavy, but the tech took it for recycling. I appreciated his expertise and leaving his business card should I have questions.

The first that set up the tv was friendly and helpful. However, when he went to set up my wireless headphones he said there wasn’t an audio output on the tv. Was told I needed an adaptor or a new set of headphones. Went to Best Buy and was told they don’t have adaptor. Bought new headphones and was reassured that they would work. Not! Had to have another technician come out and said these also won’t work. He had to connect them to my cable box. Wish the first person had known this, it would have saved a lot of trouble and cost of new headphones. Still can’t believe that a new tv doesn’t have this feature when my twelve year old tv did.

Agents were careful with setup of new C1 and removal of old 192# tube set. Showed me how to use wireless to take advantage of HBO Max. For our household's needs, tech service was outstanding as to punctuality, set-up, clean-up, and courtesy. Though set could use some fine tuning as to its potential, we understood setup is not a professional calibration. Overall, very pleased.

A few weeks ago Best Buy delivered my new LG C4 TV and installed it for me. The two technicians were very professional and considerate. They left the space nicely cleaned up and made sure everything was working right and on top of the icing of the cake they made sure I knew how to navigate the tv. Oh, and before delivery they informed me about their delivery ETA.

The Best Buy personnel were polite and professional from the time they arrived until the time they left after completing the tv install. They answered all my questions and got the tv communicating with the Wi-Fi and Direct TV remote control. The whole process took about 20 minutes.

This is the first time I've ever had anyone come to my house to install any kind of electronics. I had to exchange my Samsung S90D and since my LG G4 came with Free installation and setup, I figured I would let them do all of the work.
Good communication of their arrival. But when one arrived he had the slight scent of marijuana. Here we go!
I have a large 700 sq ft bonus room. that moved items around so they had plenty of room. I tried not to micromanage but was nervous that these 2 strangers were in my house. Anyway, the moment I turned my back, I hear a crash, run into the room and see that one of the guys is breaking down a box right next to a little table that houses my wife's ceramic nativity set and is knocking the the pieces over and onto the carpeted floor!!! I was NOT happy.
I mentioned to him that I moved everything out of the way and that he had the entire middle of the room to work and he decides to work right next to the wall next to the breakable. Luckily only some of the glazing was chipped off an no broken pieces. I sternly warned them to be careful. One of the guys was nice and considerate, the other guy that broke stuff was not.
The rest of the TV exchange and setup was good I guess but the entire experience was not good and could have been really bad if my wife's nativity set was damaged.
I really expected better from Geek Squad. I would only recommend them if you have no other options and I'm glad I didn't pay $200 for this service.

We bought an LG OLED65E6P in 2016. After a couple of years, there was burn in on the screen, from too many hours of cable news - the banners don’t change enough and don’t move enough to prevent burn in.
I visited the Best Buy store nearby and they said that since I had bought the protection plan, they’d replace it with a new 2018 model. Which is great!
However, the 2016 model was mounted on the wall, so I had to get Geek Squad to come out and take the old TV off the mount and put the new one on.
Two guys came and they did a great job. It took the two of them to handle the TVs so they didn’t get damaged.
To make it a little harder, the mount had to be moved up on the wall to make room for the bottom of the new LG TV to clear the TV stand I have below it.
They waited to be sure I was satisfied that everything was working, after we went through the first time set up.
No way I could have taken the thing down myself - it’s not heavy, just awkward. Plus I had a hard time seeing behind the TV as to how the mount was connected to the TV. They figured it out and it’s a done deal.
3 words of advice:
1) Get at least a 2 year Best Buy warranty extension if you get an OLED. The picture is the best you can get, but they are subject to burn in, as I learned the hard way.
2) Have Geek Squad mount the TV on the wall for you. Your TV will stay on the wall during an earthquake, and otherwise be mounted correctly.
3) After 30 days or so, have Geek Squad come out and adjust the colors and other settings. You will get the perfect picture after they use their analalysis tools to get it to perfect specifications. It takes about 30 days of viewing to warm up the TV, to get it ready for the calibration.
A 4th recommendation is to buy the 1-year tech support contract they have. Even if you don’t need the tech support, you get discounts on things like the calibration and wall mounting that easily pay for the contract and then some.
