Love it so far
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had this about a full month, but has been great for the most part. We have a dog that sheds like crazy. I was constantly vacuuming and it was getting old so I bought this. Super easy to setup and control. I have it set on a daily schedule to run when we are not home. It usually takes two tries to get the entire area and will re-dock to charge to finish the final round. It has gotten caught a couple times and died needed us to manually put it back on the charger. There have also been a couple times it just didn't make it back to the base to charge in enough time and died. But other than that it has been awesome coming home to a clean floor. This is by no means a full replacement for a regular vacuum, but we only have to vacuum once a week to get the small areas this just doesn't get to compared to daily without it. The holding bin is not big and with the amount of shedding my dog does it has to be emptied every other day. I have not used any of the other robot vacuums so I can't say how it compares, but talking to others that have those, this seems to be comparable if not better than the others. Would definitely buy this again and would recommend it to others.

It works
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We weren't looking for a complete replacement for our normal upright vacuum, we were just looking for something to help with some day to day touch up work and this certainly gets the job done. After trying a couple other competitors we ended up going with Samsung mostly because we already have other Samsung devices and so it made sense to just keep to their Smart Things App to see everything (and Smart Things was already linked to Google Assistant so using Google to start/stop the vacuum was a breeze). Wonderful to have it just run every night and even then crazy to see how much it still picks up. Even has helped us keep the main floor it runs on picked up so it can successfully run each night, so there's a win as well in my book. Kitchen/living room/dinning room/office/small hallway/bathroom are straightened up and vacuumed every single day now - what can't you love about that!

Great if you use it often, jams when you look away
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great on flat, even surfaces. Good on tile, low pile carpet/rugs, and wood floors. But it does seem to get lost easily with chairs and tables, and helping it out does seem to make it miss areas later on. The remote has a great spot clean feature that I find myself using often, just point the laser (close but not right on it), and it’ll follow. The suction power on it great considering we have 3 mostly white pets all with long coats. Running it daily or every other day will keep your home clean and prevent jams/clogs. Which happen a lot with us and are not the easiest to clean without good tool such as picks and fine pliers. Not the best for people that like to set and forget unless you have a good cleared floor and few messes every time. It will ping your phone with cries for help until you get it.

Good for the most part
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does everything it says it will do.. my only 3 complaints are it doesn't finish my place on 1 pass and has to return to charging station before it can resume.. that shouldn't be the case for an under 1000 sq ft place.. the scheduler is not working. It doesn't go in spots that are less than 3 feet wide.

I love it, but it's far from perfect.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the item on clearance for 30% off retail. Retail price is certainly a bit high for what you get. Pros: Having a robot vacuum is amazing. Having a shedding dog, a cat and 3 kids, this thing does an outstanding job maintaining the incredible amount of dirt and hair we create. It vacuums very well. It vacuums as well as our cordless Dyson Navigates around random stuff on the floor well. As in, it generally doesn't get caught up in a t shirt on the floor. However, a shoestring, cellphone cable, smaller things, it cannot see and issues occur. Bin is a fine size for me and easy to empy/clean. Brush roll is also very easy to maintain. The app is nice, seeing it's paths is nice and it has some other cool features. Cons It's very conservative when it does see objects in it's way. ie Will leave a 1-2" radius around our kitchen table legs. Along with the previous, just not quite as smart/precise as I'd hoped. It cannot handle my black rug, seems to think it's about to be falling into an abyss. I'm not sure how capable the room mapping feature is or the need for the camera. Remote requirement for app setup.

Liberation!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The WORST chore is vacuuming! This bot has relieved us from a major pain. We are constantly amazed by the amount of detritus that our bot (nicknamed "Sami") brings to us as offerings, three times a day! We have a cat and a husky who provide us with copious sheddings to feed Sami. I have scored majorly! by purchasing Sami!!! You should follow my lead!!!

awesome vac
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vac has a remote that has ability to POINT CLEAN. You just point where and vac will follow. Has mapping function, 3 levels of cleaning, at the normal it is quiet 8n comparison with many others. Does the job well, can manually direct it. Con: magnetic tape to avoid the areas does not work and is very short.

Overall its ok
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had 3 Roombas before this and I decided to switch becuase of the trouble I was having with the roomba but I will say that this robot vacuum is not as good at picking everything up like the roomba but i have not had a problem with it charging wise. It does every once in awhile need to be found and brought back to the charger but roomba did that as well.

Q: QuestionDoes the bot go back to its base during the vacuuming process if it senses its battery is getting low? How well does it transition from area rug (carpet) to tile floors?
Asked by Curious.
- A:Answer Yes, the bot will travel back to the base when it senses the battery low, however most of the time it gets lost along the way and I will find it "dead" and have to take it back to its base. Yes, it transitions well from hard floor to carpet, except watch out for throw rugs with long fringe, it can get caught up. We run it downstairs everyday - about 2K sq ft, and it takes about 2 charges to do the entire area. The dust collecting bin is small, so it needs to be empty after each charge.

Q: QuestionDoes it have a sensor to avoid falling if it encounters a staircase going down or does a barrier need to be there?
Asked by Brooklyn15.
- A:Answer Yes! It took us 5 years of blocking steps to learn that it does have a sensor to avoid stairs. One day we forgot to block the stairs and saw “James” heading towards them, but it did sense the stairs and moved away.

Q: QuestionIn regard to the complete life of the Lithium battery, how many years does it last? OR After how many robot recharges (for example, 400?) does the Lithium battery need to be replaced? AND How much does the new replacement Lithium batter cost?
Asked by Chloe.
- A:Answer I noticed the battery usage drop after 2 years. Not a big deal because it will work for 30min go recharge then finish 1 hour later. I highly recommend the Best Buy insurance because you can get a new one when this happens. We are on our 5th
