Q: QuestionDoes this remote have any bugs? Are there any limitations not covered in the User Guide?(2 answers)
A: AnswerMain limitations I’ve come across so far include: - Fast Forward and Rewind buttons can NOT be changed — learn function does not work for these 2 buttons for some unknown reason - TV setup device codes only work for TV and AUX device buttons, but not the other 6 devices. Would be nice if these worked for all devices buttons for maximum flexibilityAnswered by interactiondesigner
Q: QuestionCan this remote learn functions like volume up or down if I have the original remote?(2 answers)
A: AnswerYes, that's what these things do! You do have to "program" it with the correct "code" for the device you're controlling. I use it to control the TV and the amplifier. All electronic devices, TV's, amps, tape decks, CD players, etc. have a 4 digit code. The universal remote comes with a list of these codes for many models of the above. The included instructions tell you how to choose the codes for your devices. It's pretty simple. This particular remote can program 8 separate devices.Answered by ROKU
Q: QuestionDoes this remote have a sleep timer button?(2 answers)
A: AnswerThere is no sleep timer button. If your TV has that functionality you could use the TV menu to set a sleep timer.Answered by john2830
- A: AnswerYes, it can turn on TV, Audio, etc using Watch TV or Watch Movie Activities and holding Power button down for 2 seconds. Roku will automatically turn on when you press the Home button. If your TV has CEC turned on, then when your Roku is activated (ex Home button pressed), then your TV should automatically change inputs on its own (it does for me) without this remote having to do anything.

- A: AnswerHi Tony! Thank you for reaching out to us. If the pre-programmed codes don’t cover all functions, the Insignia remote has a learnability feature: hold down the device button (e.g., TV) and the MUTE button simultaneously. The remote will enter learning mode, allowing you to press the corresponding button on your original TV remote (e.g., the mute button). The Insignia remote will learn that function and store it for future use. JC | Insignia Support https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-8-device-backlit-universal-remote-black/6495830.p?skuId=6495830

Q: QuestionCan this control all functions with direct tv app?(1 answer)
A: AnswerHi, thank you for reaching out to us. 8-Device Backlit Universal Remote cannot directly control functions like the DirecTV app. Universal remotes are designed to control physical devices like TVs, cables boxes etc. You would need to use the remote that comes with your device. Thank you and have a great day! Gly | Insignia Support | https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-8-device-backlit-universal-remote-black/6495830.p?skuId=6495830Answered by InsigniaCustomerSupport
