A:AnswerMy first one I orders didn't have the fan working properly and wouldn't make ice because the fan wasn't able to cool the unit enough for it to produce ice.
A:AnswerI drain the water out the machine every few days and wipe with warm water, tiny bit of soap and paper towels. Then I run water through with drain open to make sure there is no soap in there left. For a deep clean I use distilled vinegar and water and let it run a cycle, and then I flush with water by letting it run a few cycles through so the taste is not there. They really don't tell you much about cleaning. But I'm a germaphobe and I think of all the bacteria and how to kill it. You can't use bleach so I use distilled vinegar.
A:AnswerIt does melt pretty fast. Since the ice maker is not actually freeze temps inside. It will melt in the bucket waiting. Since the ice is basically quick frozen, it also does not last super long in your beverages. Now, saying that. I still love mine. If you have a big family, it will run out quick. I love ice and fill my cups to the top, so mine gets used up pretty fast. But it does make 9 new ice cubes average of 10 minutes
A:AnswerI believe I remember this deal it was on Christmas day when all BestBuys were closed usually if there is not an option to buy they are all out of stock online or in store. I would contact best buy customer service and see if they can honor the price if you were unable to buy online or in store
A:AnswerTake it into Best Buy if you bought the warranty with it. They might be able to swap it out, if you didn’t call insignia because I think their product comes with a 1 year warranty. It’ll all depend on when you bought it
A:AnswerThis ice maker plugs into any 120v outlet. I use bottled water to fill the reservoir up that is under the ice bucket. Have not tried water from the faucet though. If the ice sets in the bucket for a while it will start to melt but the water just drips into the reservoir. I have two of them. One at home and one for my office. They are great!!!!
Hope this helps.
