Q: QuestionDoes this monitor have HDMI and/or DVISpecs only list VGA as input? I cannot imagine it does not have HDMI and DVI, but just want to check as they also have no other pics except for front. If they had pics of the inputs that would answer the questions also. Thanks,

• A:Answer I think what you may be looking for is the glare factor. This monitor has somewhat of a matte finish, but more to the point, it has a nice anti-glare finish that provides great viewing quality even in bright light. I have a floor lamp next to my desk, and the lamp does not reflect in the monitor and bounce back into my face. Is that what you were asking?

• A:Answer A digital image (HDMI, DVI, Display Port) is always preferred over analog (VGA). VGA analog interface can be used for high definition video, including resolutions of 1080p and higher, the transmission bandwidth of VGA is high enough to support even higher resolution playback. The issues you run into is picture quality degradation depending on cable quality and length. Obviously, how discernible this degradation is depends on the individual's eyesight and the display, though it is more noticeable when switching to and from digital inputs like HDMI or DVI. HDMI has improved audio and video capacity, performance, resolution and color spaces. They continue to develop newer versions and it has optional advanced features such as 3D, Ethernet data connection, and CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) extensions.

Q: QuestionThere are NO external control buttons on my monitor.The monitor works fine but there are no control buttons on it. Why not ?

• A:Answer There are actually five buttons, located flush in the bezel of the monitor, on the lower edge of the frame, directly next to the disc-shaped power button. When you press one, options will appear. Look for the white triangles that point to various options. Those triangles also relate to the buttons underneath, so when you want to do something, press the button that is directly underneath the corresponding triangle. You'll have to select a function to enter it, then press buttons again to do "more" and "less"

Q: QuestionThe purpose of the wide screenWhat does a wide screen accomplish? Does it fill the screen when using the Internet? Can you control the aspect ratio? I would be using it with a laptop having the typical 1366 x 768 display. Will in still look clear and sharp?

• A:Answer The wide screen gives you more horizontal viewing, which is a blessing for people like me who work in Excel documents that have many many columns. It alleviates the need for scrolling and scrolling through numerous columns. Does it fill the screen on the internet...yes, it does. Yes, you can control the aspect ratio, and also, don't forget that you can adjust the zoom ratio as well, so you can make it look however you want. As far as using with your laptop with a 1366 x 768 display, you will love it. Remember you can set those properties in your graphics options. I set mine up for "Extended Desktop" and set this monitor to be primary and the laptop's monitor to be secondary. That allows me to take full advantage of the clarity that 1920 x 1080 provides. I'm loving it!

• A:Answer Absolutely! If you have a newer Mac Mini with the HDMI port, the monitor can connect directly to the computer with an HDMI cable. Even if you have an older model without one, you can get a VGA to Thunderbolt or DVI to Thunderbold adapter to connect it to the Mac Mini. Either way it works great! I bought this monitor to use with a Mac Mini and it works just like my more expensive iMac 27"
