A:AnswerHi,
Please note that this device is a cable modem only, it does not have an inbuilt Wi-Fi router. The modem will get an external IP address from your ISP which could be assigned to a client device connected to the modem
A:AnswerI don't use NordVPN, but I have been using the community release of OpenVPN through our SB6190 for years now. A lot depends on your router and its configuration, but this modem won't present any problems.
A:AnswerDid Comcast promise you or did they said that you can go up to 400? Two different things. They probably want to rent theirs. Also, are you connect directly from the wall or wireless. Wireless is going to be slower.
A:AnswerAT&T has not allowed the use of a customer provided Router or Modem for their FIber Optic Internet Service. Recently, they have allowed the use of a customer provided router (not modem) behind their equipment which requires some network technology knowledge. If you have an interest in running your own equipment I would check with AT&T as policies change from time to time. I bought this modem for use with Comcast Internet specifically and it is excellent. It is my second Arris router (the first is still operation and is backup equipment and to run behind the primary modem (DMZ) for some home automation.
A:AnswerYes certainly you can use this device with your 100 Mbps plan. You would be future proofing your system so that in case if you decide to upgrade your internet service plan, you can still keep on using the SB6190 modem.
