  • QuestionPlease confirm. Is this a true UPS? Power is provided to the load from the onboard battery through an inverter and the utility power only charges the battery. As in there is NO transfer time on a loss of utility power. thanks

    Asked by JEvans.

    • Answer The power runs from the battery, it protects you against spikes and such, as well as continuous power on an outage. When the power goes out you will be glad you have it.

    Asked by Arcana.

    • Answer If turning on your bath fan causes issues, your circuit is overloaded. A bigger UPS can't help you. Tap a better circuit to use and then reevaluate your UPS need.

  • QuestionHow many years can you use this device before it has to be replaced? How do you know when it has to be replaced?

    Asked by Speedster.

    • Answer I really can't say, since I just bought it a little more than a month ago. I would say that they last 7 - 10 years. By that time you'll want to have the latest technology anyway. This UPS Backup is so much better that the one I had. It takes up less space standing upwards and it's easy to turn off the sound, if your battery dies on you. I couldn't turn off the sound on my last one when the battery had to be replaced. It drove me crazy and I had to take a Lunch break from my job and go and pick this one up. What an improvement!

  • QuestionWhich UPS battery backup device will power a lift recliner chair?

    Asked by Caro.

    • Answer Hello Caro, UPS units are not meant for use with appliances and would void the warranty. Plugging in your lift recliner chair would likely over load the unit. Thank you for submitting your question!

  • QuestionWhen the battery aged and dies and needs to be replaced, still provides electricity to the devices?

  • QuestionWill this device keep an atx desktop with a 760watt Atx power supply connected for at least a few minutes if power goes out?

    Asked by VVVV.

    • Answer It all depends on what your doing on your PC at the time the power goes out. Your power supply can handle up to 760 watts but that doesn't mean that's what it's drawing at all times. So if your PC is at idle (no applications running), then it's probably only using between 100-200 watts (It's all dependant on what hardware and peripherals are connected to your PC). However, even if your PC is under a load (actively running programs), it's likely only consuming 300-500 watts. Which means that in the event of a power outage, the UPS should stay on for at least as few minutes giving you more than enough time to properly turn off your PC.

  • QuestionHow long is the usb to computer cable? What is the Serial thats on the back for? would it be safe to put this on top of my computers sub, picture below.

    Asked by preorder.

    • Answer I cannot address the cable length portion of your question, preorder, but I can say that the battery backup is very heavy and I would not think that it should be placed on top of your computer’s subwoofer.

  • QuestionCan I use this sine wave UPS to protect my refrigerator?

    Asked by Mike.

    • Answer Battery and Surge Protected Outlets: The unit has 6 battery powered and surge protected outlets to ensure temporary uninterrupted operation of your equipment during a power failure. (DO NOT plug a laser printer, paper shredder, copier, space heater, vacuum cleaner, sump pump, or other large electrical device into the “Battery and Surge Protected Outlets.” The power demands of these devices will overload and possibly damage the unit.)

  • QuestionCan a secondary battery Be daisy chained to this unit? Or the primary battery removed and an external battery wired in. I wish to use the unit with a 100 amp hour deep cycle AGM. I don't care If it voids the warranty. Will It keep the battery charged ?

    Asked by Jim.

    • Answer Hi Jim, I'm not in a position to advise it. But in an emergency, just use a "bigger" battery, not a series-connected one. Check YT.
