A:Answeryou should be able to light the burners with a match if the power goes out, so long as the gas is still turned on. turn off the power and try it.
A:AnswerHi Lynn,
The sides of the NX58H9950WS and other Samsung Ranges are finished, so it's fine to leave them exposed. Keep in mind, however, that the cook top has a 1/2" overhang on each side.

A:AnswerHi Vazz,
The NX58H9950WS oven does vent through the rear of the cook top, though there are no charcoal filters.

A:AnswerOne of the burners on the NX589950WS is more powerful hence the higher btu rating. I doubt you would notice the difference in the real world. The NX589950WS also has a sliding rack which we find useful. The rack can, however, be bought separately. Final difference is the look of the handles on the range and matching microwave. You pay a premium for the Chef Collection set but if you like the styling you'll have to pay the extra. Either way, you will not be disappointed in the performance. The stainlesss steel on the Chef Collection may be a slightly higher quality but I'm not 100% sure about that. Take a close look at the two in the showroom. Good luck with your purchase.
A:AnswerThe extra 3/16 is to allow you to slide it in all the way. The slide in range has an overhang on the top that covers the gaps between the counter tops.
A:AnswerThanks for your interest. Samsung's Slide-in Ranges, including the Chef Collection models, are available in Stainless Steel only. The Freestanding Gas Range model NX58F5500SW, however, has a white body and cooktop with black grates.

A:AnswerHi Bayeagle,
The NX58H9950WS does not have a built-in downdraft exhaust system, but does come with the LP conversion kit.

A:AnswerThanks for your interest. The slide-in style ranges are designed without a back splash to give them a built-in appearance. If you'd prefer to have a back splash, Samsung has a variety of freestanding models to choose from, including the NX58F5700WS. This model has a number of premium features, such as the stainless steel cook top and stainless-look control panel; True Convection oven; Dual 18K BTU Power Burner; Warming Drawer; and griddle and wok grate accessories.

A:AnswerThe NX58H9950WS comes with a filler kit to help fill the gap between the back of the Range and the wall or counter behind it. One of the images on Best Buy's website shows the view of the Range from above it; the black strip on the back is the filler kit.
