I was tired of Links's and Netgear routers not working or firmware issues. A friend told me about ASUS routers. I have high demand for router reliability and performance. This Asus router checked all the boxes. It has been very low maintenance for me and they have kept providing updates to this router as well. I utilize the Guest Network for IoT and Streaming Sticks and keep my main network isolated. I'm extremely pleased with this WiFI 6 Router. for Novice and Professionals. I have good strength inside and outside on my property

Good coverage, have it on first floor of 2000sf house. Full signal throughout house and most of 0.2 acre yard. Couple deadspots in basement. Free security software (no subscription), which is reason enough to get this. Phone app for managing it is easy to use. Can schedule auto reboots to keep it lean. Have had Netgear, Linksys, Sysco & Belkin in the past, this is by far the best.

By far the easiest setup ever that I did on a router. Out the box, plug it in, input all the details you want, i.e. network name, password, router log in, that’s it,..! No frills, no hassle,..! I’m done with Netgear routers, they are amazing when they’re working, but horrible when it starts to age, somehow 4-5 months is old enough for it to go breakdown. I’ll update this review after a couple of months, but ao far the connection is stable, and REALLY fast,..!

This replaced an 8year old Asus unit (That is still working fine, btw). Setup is a breeze. Excellent performance and range.

Have multiple device connected and works perfect. I would truly recommend this product. Wi-Fi 6 works good.

Really good router , really fast especially for Wi-Fi 6 devices, alone with my pc I’m getting 700-850 mbs and can handle over 20 devices like nothing!

This was a much needed upgrade, it replaced an older router I had for a few years now, and I should of bought this a long time ago. I could tell the difference immediately. We have better coverage in our house, faster speeds, and the devices we have that had wifi6 now seem so much faster. I love the interface and app, I thought it was going to be hard to leave/use anything but Linksys, but I was over it as soon as I fired it up.

Great purchase so far, never needs a reset and gets tons of firmware updates.

This router is full featured and is fast. With MerlinWRT it is easy to unlock even more features. AIMesh let me use my older routers as additional access points and set up a full mesh system throughout my property. The 2.5gbps port, acting as WAN, lets me get my full internet speed to the router and LAN port aggregation lets me get that full speed to the rest of my network.

Wow what a monster of a Wi-Fi router. It's providing the internet speed that I pay for. Will recommend to gamers that required a strong connection. This beast made me a believer of Wi-fy routers.

I bought this router to pair with my ASUS RT-AX88U in a AiMesh and so far the set-up in a wireless configuration has been working extremely well. I'm very happy with my decision. I initially tried to use an ASUS ZenWiFi AX (AT8) to replace my ASUS RT-AX88U but I couldn't get the routers to work with my Sonos set-up unless I wired one of the Sonos speakers. I returned those routers, bought the RT-AX86U, paired it with the RT-AX88U and never looked back.

We have a gigabit internet connection and this router is fully able to take advantage of that - even over WiFi with WiFi 6! It’s incredible seeing gigabit+ speeds with no wires attached. Currently there are 18-19 devices connected at a time and I expect that number to grow, this thing handles it like a champ.

I have no complaints about this router its fantastic , But one thing that bothered me was the Agreement for QoS, if you read it you will understand, they basically collect alot of your information which is insane and they state it has nothing to do with Asus . I would recommend but be aware

Great WiFi speed and no latency when ever I’m gaming. Games like call of duty, over watch2, and apex. This router you must get.

Terrible. I have Gig speed internet and I couldn’t get gig speed(or close to it) over Wifi even when I’m right next to this router. Router red light would stay on and state I’m not connected to the Internet even when my modem is plugged in and I can go online via WiFi.

Did alot of research on this router. Rated higher and better than most routers twice the price. Setup took less than a minute and all control is on your phone for easy access. Went from 2 bars in my bedroom to full bars three houses down. I have always been an Asus guy and am very happy I added this to the mix.

The best router I have used to date. I’m a big fan of Asus WiFi routers and this one is no exception! Excellent range. I don’t get any dead spots anywhere in my 2800 sq. ft. house and I can go about 100 ft in any direction outside and still get signal. For gaming it’s a beast and comes with a variety of options to reduce lag, but remember you are limited by your service provider and are capped at the speeds and ping they offer. Also, even though it doesn’t support the wtfast network it doesn’t make a difference considering the limited games wtfast supports. Yes it is on the expensive side, but it compares with routers in the $400 range and in many instances outperforms them. Excellent and easy to use interface. If you’re on the fence get this router!

I did some research on routers for about a month trying to find one to replace my old dieing router and I came across this one. I've had it for alittle over a month and this thing is a beast. It can handle any kind of load I throw at it without even batting an eye. With the amount of smart devices I have in my home that's connected at any given time you still get extremely fast wifi. And the app is awesome if need be you can set priority devices to get the best experience possible say for like smart tvs or gaming devices. And set up is a breeze!
