Agent was friendly and customer-oriented. But he was unable to accomplish the two tasks I needed. I consider the GeekSquad visit a failure. 1)Delete spurious files and solve problem of inabilityto download executable files "because an instance is already running;" and 2)set up my printer after a move.

They have a great selection and good prices. Great customer service.

Our Geek Squad staff was patient with us as we have a fairly old and very basic laptop. He did basic cleanup and repair and suggested no more due to age/function/ability of the device which we agreed.

All of the agents were helpful, friendly and timely.

The Geek Squad individual arrived on time, but wasn't feeling well because he had surgery a few days earlier. He rushed through his time with my computer, changed my sign-in to a PIN #, but didn't explain to me why I needed to do that. He said my system needed a complete reset, and that what I had been doing previously was all wrong. He set up OneDrive, so I didn't lose my documents, but I lost all my favorite tabs. He didn't want to wait for my system to finish the task because he said it would take two hours, so he left. He told me to call him with questions for me to finish what needed to be done on my own. My system was finished resetting within 15 mins of him leaving. He was only at my home for approx 15 mins in the first place. The whole point of me paying for this service was to get the technical help I needed to fix some problems caused from Windows updates. Instead I spent the next few hours troubling shooting and fixing the problems on my own. I have had technical support work done for me in the past from an independent contractor. The contractor always explained everything and left me typed instructions to follow if I had any further issues. In the future I will only work with qualified independent tech experts. I will never use the Geek Squad again, and will advise my friends and coworkers to steer clear of Best Buys Tech Support help.
